I purchased over 20 of these cheap power supplies to run almost all of the LED lighting at my Burning Man camp in 2024 (Disco Lips). As an engineer who used to work in the LED street lighting industry, I knew there were a few simple things I could do to make these cheap power supplies go the distance in the harsh desert environment of Black Rock City. What are we trying to protect against? Heat, fine alkaline dust, vibration (loud speakers), moisture.I started by removing all of the power supplies from their enclosures and masking connectors, MOSFETs, PCB to chassis ground, etc. Then I used acrylic conformal coating spray to encapsulate the entire PCBA in a Water/dust proof layer.Next, I used E-6000 adhesive to "Stake" aka glue all large components (capacitors etc) to the board. This makes the driver robust against vibration. Before reassembling the driver back into the aluminum chassis, I applied thermal paste between the MOSFETs and the chassis to more efficiently conduct heat a way from the driver. Finally, I used dielectric grease on all wired connections in/out of the driver the prevent moisture/oxidation in the wires and at the contacts.Together, these mitigations turn these $15 drivers into $50+ drivers! And the best part? I didn't have a single driver failure! Thanks to the thermal paste and some additional heat sinking I was able to test the drivers reliably, for hours, at 50W over spec!So overall I'm really pleased with these these drivers for their performance and the ease of modification! The only issue I had with these is the quick connect contacts. It can take some trial and error wiggling your wires around while playing with the snap to find the sweet spot for your wires to make good contact. SO the contacts could be better but I was still able to make them work safely and reliably.Very pleased. Have and will buy again!

Very small so easy to fit anywhere. Wish it camewith a power cord attached.

I use these to switch back to 12v off of a 120v line that comes off a solar generator in my van.Could I run entirely separate lines for all my 12v devices? Yes, I could. And maybe some day I will. But that's a *lot* more wiring when I already have an overhead Maxxfan (12v) installed a few inches from a 120v microwave. These are very efficient, and run quiet.

We've used 2 of these to run LED light steps in a curio cabinet and on top of an exposed beam. They were easy to install and work great!!
