The battery life time is a few months only. It had about 2 hours work time after full charge only during 3-4 fist months. After 8 months, it only run for 20-30 minutes. No any ways to contact DTK manufacturer and resolve the issue via warranty. I feel that I waste my money. Do not buy!

I've bought dozens of batteries over the years as a part-time computer repairman. I have used DTK batteries since about 2010. I've never had a single issue with charging of battery life. DTK's a a little more expensive, but it's worth the peace of mind knowing my customer won't have to call me for a replacement. 100% recommended.

Excellent battery. Fit peefect. Even better than my old battery. Out of the box and broke in, the battery lasted. 8 hours on a charge while running a freshly installed Ubuntu Studio build on a Dell Laptop. A great value for the money. If I get 1 to 2 years out of the battery for the prive paid, I'd be very happy.

First off this is not a negative review. It is just a description of my experience with the battery.. I purchased the battery in July of 2017, installed it and ran through the couple of complete discharge/charge cycles that were recommended. Battery lasted over 2 hours in my Dell E6410. After about 10-12 months dropped down to about an hour and a quarter. By 18 months I started getting the battery needs replaced message from the OS and run time dropped to about 20 min. Not too bad for a $28 battery considering the Dell replacement is almost $150.00. I am planning on ordering another one from here to replace this one.

TL;DR: It works and holds enough charge that I am content for now__________________________________I just received the battery today. I will update my review and rating as necessary. These are my initial impressions:I needed a replacement battery for my Latitude E6410, as the original battery would only work for about 10 minutes. This battery had a near 5 star rating from a decent amount of reviewers. I read through the many of the positive and negative reviews and decided it was worth a gamble, as the price wasnt bad.The battery was packaged in a branded box. Nothing fancy, but decent for a Chinese import. The printing on the box was in English, but there was some Chinglish. The battery was neatly wrapped in a ant-static bag, The box had the minimal foam padding to keep the battery from moving. There was a paper insert with the minimal amount of charging directions printed in several languages. Again, the English was ok, but there was some Chinglish. The battery physically looked to be well made and in decent condition. It didnt look used or damaged. It seemed to be well constructed, as it didnt flex or bend with mild stress. The battery fits perfectly into my Latitude battery slot and locks solidly in place. It is sized perfectly and there it doesnt feel loose. The box and the instruction card said for best performance to charge it up fully and discharge it to 7% three times for best performance. There is no reason not to follow those directions, so that is what I am currently doing. I am currently in my second discharge cycle, so I have one more charge and discharge to go. However, I have noticed a few things during this process in which I want to point out.Reading the battery's firmware, it shows the battery model as a DELL PT43699. I would assume thats the Dell part number for the original battery. However, I did a quick Google search and nothing came up with that part. Regardless, this is not a Dell part, its a DTK brand battery. Additionally, it lists the batteries themselves as Samsung. While it is entirely possible they are Samsing lithium ion batteries, I have serious doubts. Even if the firmware information is false, I dont particularly care. Nor am I surprised, as this is a not-uncommon practice by discount Chinese electronics manufacturers. There is a battery charge indicator on the battery. My initial test showed it to be slightly inaccurate. My second test at a later time showed it to be more accurate. It could simply be it needs to go through all the charge/discharge cycles to gain accuracy. However, this isnt a feature I use, so I dont care that much. The million dollar question is how is the battery life? I cannot give an answer to that right now. As I stated before, I at still in the charging/discharging cycle. I am charging the laptop to full, as the instructions requested. Then I am discharging to 7%. I am using a stress program to max out all 4 CPU cores and hammer the Io to drain the battery faster. Once I complete all the cycles, I will do some testing on the battery. I will update this review with any relevant information. To be honest, I am not expecting this battery to be the equivalent of a Dell, or reputable battery manufacturer replacement. At its price, I dont have lofty expectations. I just hope it holds decent capacity for a few years, till I replace the entire laptop._____________________OK, Ive done all my charge/discharge cycles. I then charged it back up to 100% and unplugged the AC adapter. After letting it settle for a minute, I checked the ACPI power settings and it said there was ~4 hours and 45 minutes left of charge at idle. After doing some research, this is less than the original Dell 6 cell battery life, which is rated at 5 to 6 hours. This is a supposedly 9 cell battery! It should have 50% more capacity. The original Dell 9 cell batteries were rated at 8 to 9 hours. I dont think its worth doing any more testing. It is what it is.___________________________________Lol! I just checked the capacity on the product page and it lists 3 hours! Could that just be cut and pasted from their 6 cell battery? Im too lazy to check now. Thats a little over half of what the original Dell 6 cell battery capacity. Im getting almost twice that, which still isnt great. At this point, Im content with what it is.
