This dice set would be a great gift for anyone who plays D&D or another similar tabletop game. I like that they come inside of giftable ready storage case. They are definitely much heavier than other dice since they're made from metal, but the quality seems to be pretty good. I would say they are worth the price just because they seem to be well made and don't come loose in a bag. I like the look of them but could see them being hard to read as well since the numbers and colors streaks are the same color.

These are interesting dice. Dice for me are a major weakness, I have way too many and have collected them intermittently since I was 15. These are metal dice, and a little different than most of my “standard” dice.First, they are very nicely packaged. They come in a tin with foam, and this shows great care with shipping and storage for dice that have a stylized roughened surface. Each die is nearly 2mm larger than a “standard” set (there is really no standard per se, but most of my dice are the same size or very close to it). I included a picture comparing the d20 and d6 from this set and another metal set I have. With the extra size, these are fairly heavy even compared to my other metal sets. With this extra weight come some caveats, namely where and how you should roll them. I wouldn’t roll these on a glass top table, and I wouldn’t roll them on anything you might dent. Finely finished surfaces would also be a “no” to my way of thinking. They also have a lot of inertia from the weight, and depending on the surface and how you roll them they greatly vary in rolling action. Where normal dice might bounce unpredictably, these lumber and bounce at the risk of your rolling surface.I really enjoy these-- don’t get me wrong . . . but with great metal dice comes great responsibility. Have some decorum. I’m pretty sure a supermassive black hole would not result if you put more than one set of these in a dice bag. Fairly sure.If you like the way these look, which is a lot like a well used mace that’s seen duty against iron giants, and you like substantial die rolls, these might be for you as a gamer. In my view, these are definitely for you if you’re a collector of dice. Either way, I’m glad to have them in my collection, and if I ever get the itch to GM again, I will have an incredibly ominous sound to produce behind a screen when I make an opposed roll against a player.P.S., don’t throw these, they’re a little like lawn darts in some (amazingly good) ways;)

The entire set is Very easy to read. The function of the dice roll well. The green contrasts off of the gold beautifully. When compared with standard sized plastic dice they feel to be the same size with substantially more weight. Definitely have an arcane mystique to them

A great gift for the dice dragon in your life, these are some heavy metal polyhedrals! The red almost glows like magic fire, and the box is nice enough to actually keep them in long-term. not that i expect them to get banged up at all--these are ready for some serious sieges on baldur's gate. Or your gate--flung hard enough, these could do some real damage!
