I used this to get my 50 gallon electric water heater off the cold concrete basement floor. It helps with prolonging the life of the water heater, and keeping water/bugs out from under it. My old one had started to rust out on the underside from dampness on the concrete over the years.Elevating the water heater also allows the cleanout drain to be positioned higher, and allows gravity draining/easier connection of a drain hose into my sump pump pit for the water heaters annual full drain/service.I trimmed 6" off of the stand legs with an angle grinder which brought the total stand height to 12" instead of 18". No issue at all doing this. I trimmed the 6" of metal off the top of the legs and re-drilled the two mounting holes, instead of cutting the material off the bottom of the legs. This preserved the rectangular tabs at the bottom of the stand that the floor brackets slot into.This is a very heavy duty stand made of a fairly thick gauge steel, not quite 1/8" but thick and rigid. I have no doubt it could support the claimed weight of 1000lbs+. Build quality was fantastic.

I'm pleased with the product and the quality, But the package was delivered to me damaged and had missing parts and UPS would not let me make a claim because I had already opened the package.

Easy to assemble very heavy duty would suggest this one if you are looking a water heater stand.

For our new place we decided the first thing we would buy would be a wine fridge. Priorities, right? Haha. Anyway, our new place is mostly carpeted and there isn't anywhere to put a wine fridge in the kitchen. Our bar area is carpeted so I knew that we would need to put the fridge on something hard for many reasons. I searched for a simple metal pan but none of them sounded like they would work well for our purposes. I decided to go ahead and get a water heater stand. They are sturdy, not terribly ugly (we like the industrial meets farmhouse decor) and relatively cheap. Plus I knew that it could handle the weight of the fridge and 30+ bottles of wine.This stand may be overkill as we will never come close to the weight capacity but it was the right size and the right price.The only disappointing part is that the top of stand isn't flat. It dips in. I thought maybe this was intentional since it is to be used with water heaters but nowhere in the description is this mentioned and I have never known a water heater to NEED a dipped stand.It works well enough and just took a little extra leveling effort with the legs of the fridge but it has been working well so far. We are a month in and this elevates the fridge to the perfect height, provides a stable base and fits in well with our decor. I may paint it matte black later on but for now it is good as can be.
