This is a beautiful bat. It feels great in your hands, with an excellent grip that has just a little sponginess to it for comfort, and good grippiness so the bat won’t slip. It feels very well balanced, giving power to your swing. Easton has three bats in this BBCOR line for 2023, and this is the one in the middle, regarding price and expected performance. There is also the less expensive Alpha ALX one-piece aluminum bat, and the more expensive Hype which is a two piece composite bat. This Encore bat is also a two-piece bat, but instead of being all composite it is instead a hybrid, with an alloy barrel which interestingly is thinned out and internally backed with their composite material. This should provide some of the extra performance the composites provide while hopefully also providing more longevity (composite bats generally have a more limited lifespan), and also the lower price point. Aside from that difference in the barrel material, this bat and the more expensive Hype version seem quite similar. These are all drop-3 (the weight in ounces is three less than the length in inches) as required for BBCOR, and the school team requires use of a BBCOR bat. We are excited looking forward to the upcoming season hitting with this bat. I hope this information might be helpful for you. I really like this bat.

The first thing that was noticed is how nice yet understated this bat looks. Secondly the know is rubber. That's a new one. Maybe it will keep the bat looking better plus possibly keeping the bat from slipping out of the batters hand. The swing feels great. The weight is where he likes it. Our son says it feels good on contact. He's looking forward to using it on the field.
