What a joke! This is not a ‘puffer’ vest. It is the thinnest, cheapest looking garment ever. No thicker than a beefy-tshirt. Find another vest, it will be a disappointment to order this.

I bought this vest to wear under a jacket for snow skiing. It's not very "puffy," it's very flat. I was surprised. If I were to make a vest myself, I would have put four times the stuffing in it. I wore it in my house for 20 minutes with a sweatshirt over it, and I didn't get any warmer. I thought with it being made of down I would overheat wearing it indoors. (That's what I was hoping for.) What i'm looking for probably costs well over $100. This Eddie Bauer vest is a nice lightweight vest for someone that likes to wear a vest just to wear a vest. One other note; the vest only has insulation, (puffy) on the front and back panels. The sides from the armpit down are not insulated/filled, it's a single piece of thin material. If you look closely at the pictures you can see it's not insulated on the sides. So, i guess thats my fault, I didn't know they made such a thing. It's definitely not a vest for cold outdoor weather, it's better suited for wearing around the house.
