I finally got around to installing this and it WORKS well converting my dishy into 12v for the price point, you can't really beat it for what you get! Knocking off a start cause the casing doesn't feel as durable as I like but hey, that's the price you pay for!

For everyone who is putting their Starlink Gen 2 on a battery: it draws about 50 watts in normal operation. More when starting or if the dish heater comes on.This is only the adapter between the Gen 2 cable and a normal RJ-45 ethernet connection, with the capability of taking Starlink's kind of passive power-over-ethernet from another box this vendor sells, the "EDUP 150W Starlink PoE Injector".There's something odd about the way they market the "EDUP 150W Starlink PoE Injector." They say "Only Work with 12V to 48V 3A 144W DC Step UP Converter". And they provide a photo saying that you can't use a 288 watt one. This is at odds with my understanding of how electricity works. If you fuse your 48V supply for 3 amps, it won't ever provide more than the allowable current and wattage, however much it is actually capable of. I am using a 48 volt lithium battery that can provide around 5KW. And of course there is a system fuse, and a separate fuse on everything connected to it. Their injector seems to have an internal electronic current limiter rather than a fuse, maybe that's why they are concerned. So, build that 3A fuse into your circuit!Starlink will draw less than 1 amp in normal operation and some more while starting up or heating the dish to dispel snow or ice.This would have made life easier when I bought one of the early "Dishy Powa" power injectors, and no connector adapter was available so I had to cut a Gen 2 Starlink cable (actually the one for their Ethernet tap) and hand punch down an RJ-45 connector. Now, you just have to buy a couple of boxes and connect them together. Dishy Powa has run for years unattended, 5 hour drive from my home, in the high desert with local temperatures well below freezing or around 100 degrees.

Feels great in hand, Still acquiring the rest of the POE units but I have two Dishy units to combine into one network finally. I will be getting more of these as I have 2 customers needing this project done as well.

This is 1 of 3 components needed to use a starlink off of low voltage power such as a car/rv battery.This is just the adapter that converts from the starlink cable to rj45.The other components you will need are a starlink poe injector, and a 48v/3a step up converter.

This is a PoE injector for Starlink, though we used it with an offbrand-compatible dish, and it provides stable power supply for reliable internet connection and better data transfer. This adapter adds flexibility to connect multiple devices and has built-in surge protection for peace of mind. Overall, works as intended.
