The stixs are easy for the children to use. They are fast drying and very vibrant colors. They are great for the 2-3 year old children in my classroom. Usually it takes more time to get ready and clean up after they use regular paint, than it takes for them to actually paint. The stix allows them paint for their usual 10 minutes with minimal prep and clean up time. After I observed their use in my classroom, I bought them for my nieces and nephews; and their ages range from 8 to 12.

This is a great way to introduce the idea of painting without the huge mess of watercolors or finger paints.These have a point - some other boxes don't - and that helps toddlers when painting or writing.I also like the metallic shades here - especially the gold.The only con - if your son or daughter figures out how to turn them to get more paint it can create a mess :(

Fun addition to our other Kwik Stix. The jewel toned colors are pretty with a more subtle metallic sheen and the gold and silver are colors we didn’t have in any other kind of set. Best of all, they dry quickly and wash off the kids and wipe off of our table easily if there are messes made!

These are great! No mess! Dries quickly! They basically look like glue sticks, but are paint sticks instead. They leave sparkle on the paper. My son really likes them.They do look a bit like crayon or an oil pastel, once dried, if your child is in the scribbling phase.The one thing I didn't like about this set is that the colors get kind of boring, so I would like to expand our collection to be able to have more colorful works of art. The kids didn't care, though. ;)

These are some of the coolest paint pens we have ever used. All of the kids love them, and even the adults, too! They're very bright, and wrote on multiple surfaces. They look like lipstick, and even feel like it if you press on them, but when you write with them they dry just like paint! We believe that making messes is an important part of any childhood, but sometimes it's a hassle to clean up after paint. This takes that hassle away! Basically mess free. They have gotten in our table and the floors around the paper where the kids have used them, but they are easy to wash up, and nothing has been permanently stained yet. These are great for those days when the kids want to paint, or get artistic, but Mom doesn't want a mess!
