These are your basic plastic ramekins. I like that they are 3.25 ounces, enough for just about anything, such as ketchup, mayonnaise, or sour cream. The best part is that they are disposable, so no cleaning necessary. The disposability factor is not to be underrated. Cleaning ramekins that have crusted over old condiments is definitely not any fun. With these, it saves a lot of time in the cleanup, as I have used both stainless steel and ceramic ones in the past that generally need to be cleaned by hand.I am also going to use these for my kids who like to paint with watercolors. So there are also other applications for these. There are no lids included, but that is not at all an issue as I am not using these for to-go packaging.

I originally ordered these as disposable condiment cups, but after receiving them I realize they can have so many more uses. In terms of condiments, they are the perfect size for chicken nugget or french fry dipping sauces. I also realized that they would make perfect weighing cups for my kitchen scale to split ingredient packages into smaller portions. In the workshop, they would be great for holding small screws while repairing a device. The product listing doesn't give a material type, but according to the recycling symbols on the bottom, they are made from polypropylene. Polypropylene is one of the preferred food grade plastics, and has a working temperature near boiling at 100°C (212°F), and a melting temperature of approximately 130°C (266°F).

If you have not yet experienced the joy of disposable portion cups, you are missing out. I use these for so many things - every sauce and dip you can imagine, measured out recipe ingredients, to hold water to pour into the clothes iron, screws when taking things apart, portioned out candy so I don't eat a whole bag. I'm so into the portion cups that I made holder/dispenser for two different sizes to store above my plates.Arguably the black cups present better than the clear, but otherwise I wouldn't consider these significantly different from any other portion cups that I've had, which is to say no complaints. I like that these are made in New Jersey and appreciate getting just cups without lids since the lids from a set probably 2 years ago still has some left.

This is a perfect little condiment cup for us. We use a lot of sauces on the side and these little containers are the perfect size for us. We usually use cupcake liners, and this is so much better with sturdy sides and a deeper well to hold more. No needing to get up for refills. You get a LOT for your money. Would be nice for little ones to hold cereals or small treats for an afternoon snack too.

Spouse is a dipper and dips every food in every sauce known to mankind. These 3.5oz are wide and short, so you can get a hearty amount of sauce in there AND still have room to airplane a chicken tender right into the middle for maximum deliciousness coverage.
