Only suitable for end grain dowels. Not useful for face dowels. Returned it for a refund and purchased another type that also allows face dowels.

Before doing anything else with this jig, perform the adjustment procedure mentioned in the October 9, 2024 review by Cainiac. Basically, I did that by tightening, tweaking the centering adjustment, loosening, and re-tightening the jig on a 3/4" thick piece of lumber like I was planning to drill the 3/4" side. I did that until I was sure that the jig was appropriately centered before locking everything down as Cainiac suggested. I have been edge-drilling plywood that is about 0.473" thick for dowels and cam lock screw holes. So, the holes have to be centered or the pieces will be ruined. The accuracy has been consistently great, which allows me to quickly drill all the holes with a minimum of difficulty. The jig is very functional and a great value. The only thing that I would like to see in addition to what it already does would be inserts to accommodate more drill bit sizes to allow for uses beyond just doweling.

Very nice tool. Haven't used it extensively but seems to be descent quality. Only thing is two small screws and washer holding rods in could be a little better but seems to do the job so ok for now only reason not a 5 star. Also wish they had few more sizes available smaller bits but I like the design and quality seems to do pretty good will come in handy for future projects I'm sure. Used it to drill some holes in some 4040 track for my first crosscut sled build worked great 👍 sorry I didn't get a picture of using it. It does have indicator mark towards the bottom to help u line up ur hole and mark will try to add more pics later.

This Dowel jig exceeded my expectations. I’ve had others in a similar price range and no longer use them, because accuracy saves money and is the most important aspect, especially when using expensive wood species, as there’s no room for errors. It is clearly built to a high precision, no sloppiness in its moving parts whatsoever, very accurate in its alignment, hefty in its weight, and well packaged. The company stated that they are considering selling replacement inserts in the near future, as there’s no doubt that the screw in inserts will wear down with repeated drill bit usage. The jig itself should last a lifetime of use, as long as you take care of it and treat it as the precision instrument it clearly is.Furthermore, Amazon sent me a returned used item, and the inserts were worn down. I contacted the manufacturer and spoke with Ryan who quickly rectified the issue. Bravo!! Another reason to purchase this jig.

Should have gotten a self centering jig years ago, it makes it so much easier. I have been using an old school jig for the last 40 years. This is so much faster. And eliminates those pesky "off by just a smidgeon" problems. Very sturdy construction and everything fits snuggly. If you aren't using a self centering jig get one you won't regret it.

I’ve got several different attachments for cutting sheet metal, but none of them beat this one. It does all that and then some. Very excellent product, and it will straight up surprise you. There shouldn’t be anything else out there except for this. I found it more useful than tin snips and cut off wheels, rolling attachments that you put on your drill. These things kick butt,, turn around and spit out a few teeth, laugh at you, and ask, is that all you got? These things are bitching, and you know you will have been had because they work so hard, they make you look like a wuss.

I am a Gunsmith in Florida and a client had a gun that needed a firing pin, one of those great big flat ones that haven't been made since 1940. I saw this nibbler and, though skeptical because of price, I bought it expecting it to fail on first cut. I put it into my drill and locked a piece of 16 gauge sheet metal into my vice and, fearfully, started to cut, and it didn't jam or stop!!! I kept on cutting until I had the entire firing pin blank cut out with absolutely NO problems. Then I cut three more because they can be used in other models of this firearm as well. The cutter did a great job going through the 16 gauge metal, but if you are going to be using it for long periods of time it gets VERY tiring because it tends to want to wander and you must correct for it.This is a great tool and I would recommend it for those who need a nibbler for occasional use.

Works as intended, cuts are clean, bits last, good quality for price paid at time of purchase.Down fall is you will need both hands for operating tool and work needs to be secured.Works great though for what it was intended.

Lo que no me gusto es que por alguna razón dejo de cortar.

Excelente producto, hay dispositivos similares a la mitad de precio que este, pero si requieres trabajos precisos y sin contratiempos, esto es lo ideal.

First, I was very impressed by the packaging. It came in a nice storage case with all the attachments. I did not have a drill that would run at the suggested RPM, mine were all slower. This may have had an affect on the performance. I bought this for cutting the new panels on a steel roof. When I was cutting the flat or near flat, it cut fine. When I had to go up or down it tended to not cut so fine. I ended up cutting some of the areas with a reciprocal saw (not as good a cut). A friend brought over a metal cutting blade for a circular saw and although it was a lot noisier, it was a lot faster and no toenail clipping to worry about. The clippings are a hazard for people and pets and they can get tracked into the house and damage floors. I also used the circle cutting guide. It worked well on the flats and not so well going up and down the ribs. I now know the limitations and will not hesitate to use it for the right application. Overall, I think it was a good investment
