Really like the dehydrator. Works well and is spacious. HOWEVER, the button sounds and the alarm that goes off when the timer runs out are obnoxiously loud and unnecessary.

Purchased it for my gf. She loves it! Nice looking, ample amount of trays and easy to use. Can't go wrong with this dehydator.

Lo utilizo para galletas decoradas, y definitivamente lo amo. Seca super rápido a comparación de otros que tuve, es fácil de manejar y de limpiar, no es ruidoso. Es perfecto, lo super recomiendo.

El instructivo lo tuve que traducir y advierte que trae un quimico que causa cancer y defectos en la reproduccion, no lo voy a usar, me pueden decir que quimico es?

I'm an avid Jerky maker. I wanted a great looking product which also does the job in an easy to use, easy to program manner... the Maxi-Matic Elite Platinum EFD-313B Digital Food Dehydrator exceeded my expectations delivering superior Jerky in about 5.5 hours. I care very much that they designed this model with BPA-Free Stainless Steel racks which were very easy to hand clean with a non-abrasive sponge, the Adjustable Timer was set and it has a wonderful shut itself off feature when done.. this product really is well worth the money I paid. Maxi-Matic support team is really wonderful when you need help, they are respectful and care a great deal about customer service. The unit is very quiet. I think you should trust this great product as I use it weekly to make Jerky. Enjoy!!!!!

It is both lighter and larger than I expected. I was thinking it was square but it's a deep rectangle that comes out almost to the counters edge. It also puts out a fair amount of heat, which the cats love. However, the weird sensor buttons are easily adjusted by said catc causing all kinds of erratic beeping and changed heat settings and cooking times. The buttons are also very temperamental. For example, when you try to set the time it starts at 10 hours. When you push the "-" button to decrease time, it starts beeping and cycles all the way down to 30 minutes. You have to wait for a minute until it stops having a panic attach and then slowly increase the time for what you want. Also, don't follow the instructions in the book... it takes much longer than 7 hours at 140 to dry bananas.I love the metal trays (spray with cooking spray first to avoid sticking). I also like the volume this dryer can handle, and that the fan is in the back, although you have to rotate the trays halfway through to get an even dry. Also, be gentle with the door... it's a little chintzy.

I had a hard time selected a dehydrator. I have used the Excalibur that I borrowed from a friend and loved it but it was not in my budget at this time. The friend I borrowed it from told me "Buy once, cry once" but I still could not afford it at this time. So I tried to find one that felt good at a lower price point. It was important to me that I find one with stainless steel shelves and a window. This one had no reviews at the time I purchased it so it was a gamble. It arrived in great condition and I put it to use right away. It has work great and is quieter that the others that I have used.I am happy with this product and would recommend it for the price.
