I'm a bit of a hack with these Pi accessories, but am willing to take a swing at it. Thus far I will say that there is a high liklyhood that any deficiency in this items use is likely my own and not the product. Well made, solder joins look to be done well and an easy fit with my pi. Honestly read some other reviews from people that know these things better than me for compatability review, but thus far it's a nice little status screen for my PI and I'm happy about it.

The e-paper display is an impressive little Hat with a sharp resolution of 250x122 pixels. Its black-and-white e-ink technology delivers excellent contrast, making it ideal for displaying text, QR codes, or simple images. While the refresh rate is typical for e-paper technology, it is sufficient for applications that do not require rapid updates. One of the standout features of this module is its wide compatibility, supporting an array of Raspberry Pi models, including the latest Raspberry Pi 5, 4B, 3B+/3B, 2B, A+, Zero W/WH, Zero 2 W, and even the Jetson Nano.Unlike some e-paper displays that can be cumbersome to set up, I found the GPIO pins fit securely onto the Raspberry Pi, and the software libraries provided were straightforward to use. The setup process was smooth, thanks to the well-documented guides, and I had the demo up and running in about 30 minutes. This versatile display opens up a wide range of potential applications, such as:* Smart home interfaces* Electronic name tags* IoT dashboards* Weather stations* Data displays for portable devicesWhile it may not be suitable for applications requiring rapid screen refreshes or a larger display size, its low power consumption, sharp visuals, and ease of use make it an excellent choice for static or semi-static content.

Once I opened this and followed the directions on Waveshare's site to first test it, and then install Pwnagochi. It works great, and has a good refresh rate for e-paper. Its a good introduction e-paper.

I'm using this as a display on a wall project (not yet finished), and it works well. It took a bit of searching to find the documentation for it, as nothing is included but the board and mounting screws - not even a piece of paper telling where to go for documentation.Fortunately, I was able to get it going, and it works fine once you get the hang of it. Not difficult to program, and I like that it doesn't use power except when changing the display. This is very nice. 20 years ago when I was working in a factory as an IT guy, looking for ways to eliminate paper labels for our build process, this would have been exactly what I was looking for.
