I purchased this single string (3pack) as the 7th string to properly “Tension-Match” the rest of the wound strings of the 6string gauge I use (9/11/16/26/36/46)… I tune to Drop G# on 7 string (basically DropD a 1/2step down or DropC# in a 6 plus the 7th string also dropped down to G#)… I was looking to calculate tension for each string for my tuning to somewhere around 18+-3…. So a 62 fits the need for my tuning with that tension range…What I have been using is 58’s on the 7th string for 25years but it was too floppy at G# or A… so I always tuned to A# or B…
