Item description claims this is 8mp camera however ov2640 is only 2mp. Programmed board to test more and confirmed via arduino ide. Very poor video quality.

Those of us who own a lot of these ESP32s and Arduinos knows that there are duds in this world, and at first I thought both of these fell into that category but I was still a total rookie a month ago when I got these. I was wrong: it was literally a bad USB cable that caused my initial issues and they both work perfectly. To get it going in Arduino IDE, select "AI Thinker" as the board. The best sketch to use is built in (as long as the ESP32 library is on your system) under ESP32--> Camera--> Camera server. Then, inside the sketch, you need to delete the // before the AI Thinker cam so it starts with a "#"; put in your WiFi creds, burn it, pull up the serial monitor and press a button on the board and it will display the IP address of the webserver. Open it and it's a really impressive array of options. If your feed is upside down, there's a V flip option.

I programmed the camera to capture pictures and upload it every 10 seconds. Old esp32 worked much better. These stop capturing images after about 30 mins. Rebooting may or may not work.
