Fue un regalo para mi padre. Él acostumbra a salir de campamento y está muy contento ya que su mochila ahora pesa menos porque ya no carga con botellas de agua. No sabe a plástico.

Muy útil, no lo he llegado a probar en el campo, pero cuando me he quedado sin agua potable uso esta maravilla en el lavabo y sin problemas.

me pareció muy pequeño, pero eso puede ser una ventaja, por lo demás buena construcción,

This is good for personal use, but a bit small for more than one persons needs. We used this on a trip to the boundary waters canoe area. It works well for what it is if only using it for an occasional drink of water. Lake water tasted like it came out of a bottle from the store. However, do note that the water flow through these is enough for someone to drink from, but insufficient if using it for the needs of a group of people. Maybe this is obvious for those who have used these before, but this is suitable for personal/emergency use only. We had two of this style (the other was a Sawyer Mini) and they were similar in flow. Both worked fine, but if you're trying to get enough water to fill multiple water bottles or a pot for boiling water for dinner, do yourself a big favor and get a bigger one. Fortunately we also had a version, which had MUCH better flow capacity. Even the PointOne took awhile to fill five 30oz water bottles or a small pot, but I think the smaller versions would have taken at 20-30 minutes (we didn't try it, just an estimate). That's a long time to be squeezing the bag. The PointOne also did much better if just wanting to use gravity flow, where as the smaller ones needed either the bag to be squeezed or someone to suck water through it. This comes with a 16oz bag, the PointOne came with a 32oz. That also makes a big difference in the amount of refilling time. We had an extra 32oz bag which I would also recommend.Even for personal use I would get the Sawyer PointOne. Yes, it is more expensive so perhaps not a fair comparison. However for something like this that is a fairly critical component I think the extra cost is more than justified - Especially if you are relying on this for anything more than a "just in case" emergency use.

There isn't much else to add to the conversation on such a well reviewed product. It's a great filter, with lots of accessories and some nice features. The main thing I would point out is that this filter works at a much finer level than what's really necessary for common use. Most bacteria and protozoa are in the 1-10 micron range in size or length so essentially anything smaller than 1 micron will catch an extremely high percentage of contaminates. 0.1-0.2 micron filters are pretty common and are really quite sufficient. Unless you intend to go trekking through the Amazon (no, the other one) and drink from a stagnate pool of water infested with virus bearing insects, this filter's 0.01 micron filtration size is just overkill. For traditional camping/hiking settings where you will by and large be getting water from fresher sources (streams, rivers, ponds, lakes, etc.), this filter is beyond sufficient. All that being said, if you do choose this filter, be prepared to take your time. It's not really so much a defect as it is a feature of the small filtration but, the smaller the particulate size that will be filtered, the longer it will take to push the water through that you actually want. This is also why it has a threaded end that you can screw the included bottle to in order to forcefully squeeze the water through and get a little faster flow. If you value water flow over fear of uncommonly microscopic bacteria, get a different filter with a larger filtration specification (as long as it's less than 1 micron).

I've had this on my bug-out list for a while now. At last I got it. I had questions I had doubts, because I was at first thinking of this as a filtration system. Yes it filtrates water.... no it is not a general filtration system. It is a "Personal" filter. A sip straw with advantages. Emphasis on the 'sip'. If you got as far as the comments section, you've seen what they say about it. This is for hiking, rather than camping use. Something to get water from point A to your mouth. However.... I did want to find out if I could use the bag to filter water into a cup for heating and it DOES work! You fill the bag with water... as clear as you can find, screw it into the straw, and gently but firmly squeeze. Filtered water will slowly dribble out of the sipping end. Not fast, but if you need a cup of coffee or some soup, it would be worth it. We are not talking kitchen magic here folks, we are talking survival. To make this last as long as possible, use the clearest water you can find, use the little blue add-on filter, and backwash every time you use it. Just remember, water from a street gutter is not a good source, because of all the chemical contaminates that might be in it. This is for dirt, microbes, and insect contamination, not oil, anti-freeze and cleaners!Picture 1 shows the bag screwed into the base, 2 shows the long folded tube attached to the base. you can also take off the short tube from the blue filter and attach it to the end of the long tube. Picture 3 shows the blue filter and the disk replacement filters for it (you get 6 total), and 4 shows the back-flow set-up. The plunger tube snugs 'into' not 'over' the mouth piece and the small blue filter's tube as well. This was one of the Eteckcity products that I could get free or at reduced price in exchange for a review. I won't 'guess' if it works I won't say something I don't believe. This my honest opinion of a product I acquired to use personally.

When this product was on sale on prime day, it was a perfect opportunity to add to my emergency evacuation kit that I keep on my van. I have not had to use this filter yet but it does ease my mind knowing I have one in case of an emergency. This summer at least three water districts in our area had to put strict limits on their water consumption with two of them only allowing people to shower and flush toilets with the water. Everything else had to be done with bottle water unless the consumers used special filters on their faucets. That was not only extremely costly and time consuming since the cars were lined up for hours at a water distribution center so people could pick up a couple of cases of bottle water. It also was very frightening. I know our water district was reassuring their customers that it was safe to drink their water from the faucet but it does make you think of what you can do if it happens in your area. Since the bottles of water were sold out within a day in the water districts that it happened to it could be hard to buy water when needed unless you drive a long distance to pick up the water. The instructions that come with this emergency filter are very clear. This emergency filter will give me up to 1500 liter of clean water in a emergency or about 395 gallons. More then enough to last my family and friends one month safe clean water. Even if I never have to use this emergency filter just the fact that it is available in my emergency kit makes me feel more secure. I would recommend a filter like this one to any family so there is always safe drinking water available.I read reviews before I buy a product online especially on Amazon. I hope this review will help you decide if this is a product for you. I would recommend this water emergency filter to my friends and family and really any family although I hope nobody ever needs to use it unless they are in the wilderness. This is my own honest opinion. If I change my opinion because I had to use this emergency filter and it did not work for me as intended I will update my review. But I honestly hope I never have to use this emergency filter.
