Great emergency radio but blue tint of LED is annoying. I ended up using the clear part of a "sticky flag" to diffuse it so the blue spot does not show. Excellent battery life and crank charge is surprisingly good.I tried to discharge the battery to test the crank charge. It seems like 2mins of crank got me an hour+ of light... is this right? Seems really high so I wonder if there was residual charge left in there. In anycase, it was way better than my cheap crank charge light from Noma. The bottle opener is sharp and annoying when you grip the unit to crank charge. I may try to file it down.

Exelente compra se recarga con su cable o de forma manual, el radio capta las estaciones en ocaciones falla un poco la recepción pero moviendo la antela las agarra y tiene buena luz y se ve resistente a golpes

Genial, lo compré para mis hijos y les encanto, luz, destapador, radio, se recarga por energía solar y por manivela.Carga sin problemas un celular y hasta un iPad.

Fue utilizado durante un huracán en el caribe y la radio funcionó toda la noche que se estuvo sin energía eléctrica, pude cargar mi celular y la batería duro hasta que regresó la energía eléctrica. Ultra necesaria para estos casos

I never write reviews but I feel I must as this is the Best tool and it is our second time buying this. We Canoe trip and have love this product as it is rugged and lightweight and easily packed. It is also very responsive to the hand crank for the flashlight and radio. Highly recommend

Me gustó mucho el radio, excelente para emergencias. Todo funciona de maravilla, sintoniza las estaciones de AM, FM y las de emergencia en la CDMX, carga con el panel solar, con el dinamómetro y con el cargador del teléfono

En Mexico no se conecta al sistema de alerta de EE.UU. resistente y bueno para agarrar algunas estaciones incluso en el bosque.La manecilla carga bien al igual que la carga a toma corriente. Carga pésimo con el panel solar es más eficaz la manecilla. Pésimo power ban se carga menos del 10 % de batería y se descarga el equipo por completo.El envío fue en el tiempo esperado.

Its actually alot smaller than you think..I basically use it for the weather and also keep it in my vehicle during winter. Listening to the radio, the battery lasts a long time. The light is brighter than expected but it's made good quality. I've dropped it a few times and not a scratch. Over priced for what you get but at least its portable, can clip in a backpack, solar or hand crank power or charge it.

Usualmente acampo durante el año unas 4-6 veces, siempre cargo con una lampara de cabeza y esta maravilla. Cuando no salgo esta lista en mi mochila de emergencia, cuenta con todo lo necesario. Si algo le pudiese criticar es que las celdas solares son malas, pero no esperaba algo tipo GoalZero por el precio, pero no esperes cargar tu celular via solar con este dispositivo, la manivela puede ser más efectiva para cargar la lampara en todo caso. 100 % recomendable.

El radio carga muy bien desde la manivela e incluso con su panel solar que es de mayor tamaño que el modelo microlink FR-160 que también carga muy bien con el sol. En la CDMX capta aceptablemente la señal de radio de emergencia con el protocolo de NOAA Weather Radio donde entre otras alertas, se incluye la sísmica. Además en cinco minutos con la manivela para carga de celular, obtuve casi un 6% de batería de un Nexus 6p, hablando muy bien de la capacidad de carga del Eton Scorpion. Me parece una buena compra y lo uso todas las mañanas para escuchar el radio antes de salir a trabajar en las mañanas. Altamente recomendable.

The metal clip seems fairly sturdy, and the antenna on my model does indeed pivot. I know that's an issue that was apparent for some people, however I got the pivot to clear the expansion sheath by turning the base counter clockwise with light pull as if to further extend the antenna. Remember to turn and pull on the main tolescoping pit of the antenna (the bit that the rest of the antenna collapses into).Otherwise, the unit is well rounded. I did my research, and this radio is the most highly regarded unit of its type. Great reception, holds a greats charge, solar panel starts charging in poor conditions (cloudy days still prompts charging indicator), and the one LED flashlight is suprisingly bright (as in the beam has no problem at all hitting my shed that is roughly 30ft from the back door with a full wall charge). Oh and excellent reception, fanaminal if you take into consideration the size of the unit.I cannot vouch for its durability yet simply because I'm not about to tourcher my brand new toy, but reviews on the internet say if it gets waterlogged, simply let it dry in the sun for a couple days or bake it like you would your phone then it seems to boot back up without much problem beyound the screen becoming slightly faulty. Drop tourcher reviews seem promising aswell. Some people have reported that this radio has fallen out of there second story apartment window onto concrete and the only damage to report was to the protective rubber and plastic on the outside.All around an exelent product! The only thing that I'd like to see change about it is a higher mAmp/hr battery, and better waterproofing beyound splash proof rating. However, the battery seems plenty for the unit and its uses, but I'd buy it again even for anlittle more if it ment a totally water proof model up to, say, 3 fathoms.Stop looking for a backpacking radio, buy this one. You won't be disappointed. 👍

This unit is great ! The light is very bright and effective. The solar charge is slow but it will do the job. The crank hand is sturdy and will charge the unit. You have the ability to charge it externally through usb before you hit the road. The weather radio function is very basic but I have tested it and the signal comes in. The unit overall seems very well built. It has a sturdy solid frame. Perfect for my bug out bag
