Take quick moisture level reference measurements on wood and building materials with this convenient compact-sized Moisture Meter. The MO50 is simple to operate and offers measurement digits, audible tones and ‘moisture drop’ icons to indicate moisture level content.
The MO50 is ideal for building restoration projects and applications where moisture detection on floors and under carpets is critical. A must-have tool for analyzing the after-effects of water leakage behind walls and in ceilings.

Used it to successfully locate the source of damp in our kitchen and one of the bathrooms. Thanks to this handy little device we didn't have to tear up the entire rooms to find the problem, which turned out to be a leaky pipe in both cases. We could pinpoint where it was wettest and then just remove that tile, and in fact that's where the problem originated from.We found it very easy to use despite having virtually zero DIY experience, and well worth the investment. Will definitely be using this regularly to check the bathrooms and kitchen in our place.

I have other devices from Extech and find them reliable and easy to use. Not the cheapest, perhaps, but seems good value to me and does the job. Useful for checking logs for the fire and building materials for soundness.
