I saw some reviews that say the lid fell off well I have had mine almost a full year and it's still making them perfectly fine. I plug it in, use a stick of real margerine-Free butter to whipe on the top and bottom real fast then let it heat up while I mix the batter, 3 table spoons for the long ones, 2 for the small rectangle and about 3/4 to 1 tbs for the small squares close the lid wait a few moments ~ 2 to 3 min then pop them out, the only problem is my 3 yo plays with his food more then he eats them. 1yo loves the soft fluffy waffles.

Cooks well and the pieces come out looking great. We used a mix made from milk, egg and almond flour rather than using the recipes in the enclosed book due to allergies and we're thrilled with the result

My nephew thought it was cool since he is a huge Lego fan. Who wouldn't want Lego waffles?
