The build per se - is good. It's on a RED Solder-Mask FR4 board with what appear to be good quality connectors. SMD reflow has been professionally done. The supplied CD does have useful data of about 975MB - and it works. First thing I did was transfer the CD contents to my PC, and I've attached a screenshot of the CD contents. We get a USB printer-port cable in the kit. There are some English manuals, drivers, etc... I'm still exploring and trying to see if any of that info is directly applicable to this Mach3 USB PCA although I do not see any image of this Mach3 USB Interface Board in any of the English Language user manuals. Now, that said, this PCA gets recognized on my Windows 11 PC, and it seems to be responding. I still need to get up to speed to use it effectively. There are some helpful links on YouTube as well as a wealth of knowledge-base avaialable on the Internet. Just look for Mach3 USB CNC.I hope to complete my project soon. Will update this review as needed.

I have other controllers, but all the drivers are a mess so I decided to buy this unit to have a CD supplied with supported board. But, this CD is unreadable. tried other computers. Noting works to read the CD.I did not want to go searching for generic drivers. This is a useless item!I have had this 1 hour, and not impressed at all. I am going to send it back. I tired to find contact seller instead, but nothing is available for that.

This board was a bugger to get set up, and almost scrapped the idea until I found a YouTube video and some configuration files. Do yourself a favor and look for this board on "buildyourcnc(dot)com" and save yourself the trouble. All the setup instructions, xml files and even the driver needed for this board are there. I decided to modernize (using that term loosely as I'm still running Mach 3) my setup and get rid of the massive Windows XP workstation. I downsized to a mini PC running Windows 11 and this interface board and everything seems to be operating normal. I paired it with a 15" touchscreen monitor and a single monitor mount and was able to eliminate my desktop workstation completely.Overall this is a good upgrade for a basic 3 or 4 axis machine without a lot of extra sensors and switches. It's also worth noting that I needed an additional relay to turn the spindle on and off. But instructions for that are also on the same site.
