Let's start from the beginning. I drive a 2001 Mustang. My check engine light was on for the intake temperature sensor, which is built into the mass air flow sensor on this car. I replaced my old one with this one and cleared my check engine light. I immediately noticed that my car was idling funny. I drove it home and everything seemed fine. The next morning, I began to notice that my car didn't seem to want to go when I pressed the accelerator pedal. When I pulled out on the Highway it fell on its face; it just wouldn't go for about 30 seconds. This happened 3 more times on the way to work. My check engine light did not come back on, however. After I got to work, I ordered a name brand mass air flow sensor from a local parts store and installed it. That was 2 days ago, and I haven't had any issues since. Note: I was a Ford Certified technician for 8 years so I should have known better than getting the "cheap" option. This could have just been a bad one, but it was not only bad, but dangerous. Do not buy this, get a good one.
