I read the reviews so I knew what I was getting. But OMG the directions are useless. Mine is assembled backwards but it works great so I’m not taking it apart to live through that struggle again. The bags of hardware were open and all pieces were rolling around in the box. Fortunately everything was there.

This is a great rack to have to store/stack up your canvas. I use this for my backdrops of photos for my photography work. The weight hold well of over 12 thin canvas. Worth the money!

It’s a rubbish item; wanted to exhibit pictures in it - couldn’t assemble it. Am returning it.

The instructions weren't too bad if you take the time to read them. The parts were all labeled and all parts were there. The instructions said that the "shiny" side of the canvas is the outside. The black side looked shinier than the grey side, and looked to me like it should go on the outside because it looked more finished. So I put it all together, which took forever because at first I didn't read the directions carefully and missed the part about the shorter elbows....Anyway, gt it done and the velcro tabs didn't seem right. Couldn't tell from the pictures which side was correct for the outside. I looked at it on the amazon page and it seems that the black finished side is on the inside, so that the rod pockets are visible on the outside. It would be better if the directions specified by color -- inside grey/outside black? or inside black/outside grey? frustrating!!UPDATE: The rack definitely works correctly only if you turn the lighter, greyer side so it's outside. It opens wider and the velcro is positioned correctly.
