I have about forty fountain pens. They are all ok, some better than others. If a pen does not flow the ink freely, it is very problematic. I easily fix that problem with the corner edge of a double edge razor blade (taped over the rest of the cutting edges), applied into the nip slot and worked around a bit. The two sides of the nib must have a space between them at least halfway to the tip. Once I do that, all nibs flow ink. Some better than others. That being said, this pen needed no adjustments, and I used the supplied ink cartridge in it. Result? Beautiful deep black script, and a smooth writing experience. For a bargain price.

I liked this pen. Its got a heft to it and it came with lots of ink cartridges as well as a converter. Writing with it is smooth and easy. And its affordable which makes it an awesome fountain pen for beginners.Where it takes a couple hits is the instructions, the entire tag with a sticker on it. I am not an aficionado but i have some experience with fountain pens so i wasn't expecting instructions for use. More importantly, i wasn't expecting some of the instructions. i think part of the problem was that so much of it was well written, well translated english but not all. Quite a few blunt endings that left me blinking and struggling for comprehension. "Soak in Warm Water and Dry Up"?! Not really sure but i gave it a try and soaked the pen parts in Warm Water and attempted to dry them afterwards. Not sure what Dry Up is but i do know this process easily added a couple hours to the unboxing as drying out small enclosed tubes and mechanisms is not as easy as it sounds.I also know that despite one of the steps instructing you to "Shake Gently", shaking is the last thing you really want to do to any fountain pen unless you enjoy ink blots. So if you are giving this to a neophyte as a gift, toss the card and include a brief 2-3 minute tutorial skipping the rinse cycle. And for veteran fountainers, you shouldn't need the instructions. This is the basics and you already know the basics.

This fountain pen is the best I’ve tried. It’s very smooth when writing, no clot. The handle is comfortable. I would say this is the most important function user will need to write handsome handwriting.
