This is my 2nd fantic product and I am super impressed with their overall quality, construction, and unique features. This is a great go-to screwdriver, and the torque control really makes it a winner for certain electronic components. It's a bit expensive, but on par with this brand as they seem to charge a premium for their quality products, and people continue to pay it, so that says something. My only complaint about this specific product is that the ergonomics are a bit awkward. It's like a really thick screwdriver which isn't horrible, but it's bulky. And then when converted to a "drill" it's not ergonomic at all. I remember making pistols out of toilet paper rolls when I was a kid, and it's quite similar in it's awkwardness. The should have definitely contoured the grip at least a little bit.But overall, it has become a go-to. Its more convenient that a screwdriver and easier than pulling out the drill depending on the use. Perfect for building furniture and fixing toys etc.I'd recommend. And if not for you, it would also make a great gift for someone else.

I do a lot of computer repair and some of Fanttiks other offering are great for getting in there and repairing. They make it easy to get in the tight spaces. The Fanttik Fold S1 APEX, not so much. You need room to work this thing.Screwdriver: Not a fast screwdriver, but it will get the job done. It comes with a decent set of bits.Battery life: It lasts a long time.Versatility: If you are just screwing regular things. This is fine. If you want to get into tight spaces, not so much.

I like a lot about this screwdriver. That you could change its torque. I like that it's easy to control. But in my opinion, it does have two problems. The first problem is just an annoyance. The mechanism to hold the bit in place is not perfect, so it kind of gets stuck a lot, and you constantly have to wiggle it as you're changing bits to make sure that they come out when you want them to and then stay when you want them to stay. It's not too big a deal. It's just a little annoying. Now my second problem is a little bit more important. If you're using this with light-duty things, it is excellent and perfect. I never have to feel like I'm going to strip a screw if I'm on a low setting. But if you increase the torque, it likes to give up a lot. I would say this is the biggest issue with this. Don't use this for high torque settings.

So I've been using this cordless screwdriver for about a week now, doing some PC mods and installing a vanity light and towel rack in one of our bathrooms. Normally, I would borrow my Dad's fancy impact cordless, but with this electric driver I no longer have to. All my odd-jobs went smoothly, and I was really surprised with the performance of such a small, light-weight tool.Quality-wise, it's really impressive. It has a comfortably smooth grip that makes it really nice to handle. The interface is easy to understand and the button configuration makes it effortless to change rotation speed or direction even if you have only one hand available. Additionally, its light-weight, and compact size makes it SO much easier to fit into tight spaces. This made a huge difference when I was installing a few PC parts for a friend recently. Power-wise, it's not too shabby either. It's definitely not as strong or as fast a typical, big-brand, heavy duty cordless screwdriver... but considering it's size/weight it's plenty good enough for the typical jobs that I do. Lastly, this thing gets massive points from me for having a USB-C port, which makes this obscenely easy to recharge. One of my biggest pet-peeves when it comes to big-brand power tools, is how annoying and expensive it is to recharge their battery packs. Not an issue with this bad boy.So I only have one negative to bring up. The screen is pretty bad in more ways than one. Firstly, it's pretty much just an led backlit display that you would typically see on a calculator. So yeah, not the best quality or definition. Also, the screen is so frosted, I swore it had a screen protector. It did not. And now my screen has a bunch of markings from my fingernails trying to scrape the edges. You should be able to see it in the included pics. You may want to be careful how you store this thing, because if you have it rolling around in a drawer with anything else, the screen will probably take some damage. If it had a nice, oled panel with touch-screen capabilities, and gorilla glass, it would get 10/5 stars. As it stands now, it's a just good enough for 5/5 stars.

So when it comes to my drilling and driving needs, I have choices. I can use my gigantic Milwaukee hammer drill to make holes into concrete walls, blocks and large pieces of wood. At the other extreme, I have some pencil-sized screwdrivers for small, personal electronics, etc. What I normally use for just about everything is my Makita 1/2" 18V drill and impact drivers. But seriously, those are overkill when, for example, I just want to dismantle a 12V tire pump or a box fan, like I needed to do the other day. So I broke out the Fanttik Fold S1 APEX screwdriver.I wanted to test the screwdriver's capabilities and, judging from the size of the bits included in the kit (which are full-sized driver bits), I thought this would be the perfect job for such lighter-duty work like the pump and box fan, or practically anything that I could lift with my bad back that would fit on my workbench for that matter. It turns out I was not mistaken. The S1 APEX easily cracked the torque lock on the all of the 1/2' aluminum screws of the mini air pump even though they were firmly embedded in the coarse plastic threads of the pump's case. The tool has two speed settings, and two torque settings, plus forward and reverse. I used the low torque high speed setting to get the job done in no time. Assembly went just as smoothly - not a hassle, no annoyances, just a tool that worked and wasn't going to break my wrist in the process. With the squeeze of the locking mechanism, I switch between the drill's straight and "folded" configurations, and both worked for equally well, without any loss of power between the straight and folded configurations. Which configuration to use is entirely dependent on the situation and/or your mood ;)The real challenge came next. I had serious doubts that the Fanttik Fold S1 Apex would have enough oomph to dismantle the box fan. I was wrong. It was a repeat performance. No evidence of any struggle to remove the grids or the motor from the case. Quick and easy, and DONE!This is a very nice kit that won't weigh down your tool belt or take up a lot of space on your workbench, and has just the right amount of power for those lighter duty jobs around the house. It spins slowly compared to an 18v drill, so you probably don't want to use it extensively for drilling holes, but I'm guessing it has plenty of torque for most other light projects like mounting a picture frame, tightening up loose screws on furniture and appliances, assembling IKEA-type and online-bought furniture requiring assembly, doing work on PC cases, server racks, mounting security cameras, etc.Glad to add this tool to the arsenal.
