I NEVER leave reviews for things because it's more trouble than it's worth, but this product absolutely deserves a review, it's SO GOOD.My apartment water has an insanely high iron content in part because the neighborhood just does~ and in part because the pipes are super duper old. When I first moved in, I bought a shower head that had beads to filter and it worked okay. But then after a while it lost its efficacy and I didn't realize it until 6 months later when my skin would not stop breaking out (a problem I didn't even have as a teenager). So I switched it for a shower head with a cotton filter and that really improved my hair and skin. My breakouts decreased and my hair regained a lot of the luster it had lost, but it was about 6 months before I saw any real results and though the breakouts stopped, my skin was still dry and a little dull. I also grew sick of having to change the filter every 4-5 showers (or on hair wash days, it only lasted one). So I added this to my cart and there it sat for about 3 months because, though not expensive, I couldn't justify the cost. I want to go back in time and slap some sense into myself because that was a MISTAKE!I finally purchased this shower head and installed it immediately. The installation was super simple and took 5 minutes max. I got in the shower and I could physically feel a difference in the texture of the water. It lacked that slimy feeling of water that runs through a water softener, but it was noticeably softer than it had been. I expected it would take a while to start noticing results in my skin, but I am so happy to say that after just one shower, my skin is softer and smoother than it has been in the 3 years I've lived in this apartment. My moisturizer glided on my skin more smoothly than it has in even longer than I've lived in this apartment and I know people say this a lot, but I genuinely mean it when I say my only regret is that I didn't buy this sooner. If you have hard water or, like me, a ton of iron, I can't recommend this product enough.TLDR; This shower filter is life changing and effective after just one use in my rusty water apartment

The old filter I had from HD lasted about 6 months before it clogged up. The last one was about 32$ and I could not even replace the filter inside. Plus the water input was really low resulting in a slow shower head.This - from price to install was easy. I have a strong water output, can feel the softness of the water asap. Very happy with the price.
