This is a review for the Squire debut black matte telecaster. I tracked it straight from Washington to Colorado. Packaging was in great shape. The guitar I received, is a perfect starter instrument for a beginner. It was cut correctly at the nut, intonation is good and the action only slightly higher than my preference. The strings are good and I won't need to change them out right away. Any beginner that receives an instrument like this one will be able to scan the code and learn to play.Now, for the nitty gritty. The pickups were slightly high towards the 6th string, so I adjusted those. The jack fit is slightly loose, but works for now. The switch and the pots are good. No grinding and the switch gives a solid click when it is moved between positions. The nut is plastic and cheap, but cut correctly. The bridge is top load. The angles are correct so that the saddles are about as high as they can go. (No floating saddles from lowering the action). This guitar has a plain neck, no skunk stripe and it is plain wood inside the truss rod hole. Very basic guitar. But it has what I wanted, the neck feels identical to my other Squire telecaster. I have the Squire Sonic in surf green. These are great modding guitars. I'm still finishing my Sonic mods, so now I have a guitar to play while I fix the paint on the other one. (I filed an armrest into it among other things.)I am an intermediate player, amateur wood worker and enjoy tinkering.I think Fender/Squire really did a good job of competing with the cheap Amazon guitars!

The body had damage that appears to be a bad fix job and then re-packaged as all good. Not the case with this particular guitar also the nut was in terrible shape. Pretty bad for the first debut telecaster in the USA. I purchased one from the UK and one from Germany before you could get them here in USA , both were near perfect out of the box.

Al final, es una Fender; para iniciarse es ideal, por el precio, genial.Para tenerla en casa y echar unas prácticas, perfecta. Tiene unos acabados bastante buenos y suena muy decente.Recomendable.

Llego bien a pesar que a mi gusto no estaba bn empaquetada, la guitarra suena muy bien para el precio pero es recomendable calibrarla en cuanto te llega, la recomiendo para los nuevos que quieran comenzar aprendiendo

La Squier Debut Series Telecaster puede parecer una buena opción para principiantes, pero su calidad deja mucho que desear en comparación con otras guitarras de la misma marca. Si estás considerando esta guitarra, es mejor ahorrar un poco más y optar por un modelo de la serie Affinity, especialmente los fabricados en Indonesia, donde la calidad es notablemente superior.Lo que me gustó:Atención al cliente: La tienda respondió de manera amable y profesional ante los inconvenientes.Diseño clásico: Como todas las Telecaster, tiene el icónico diseño que la hace atractiva para quienes buscan el estilo Fender a un precio más accesible.Lo que no me convenció:Problemas de calidad: Mi unidad llegó con problemas de trasteo que no se pudieron solucionar hasta que llevé la guitarra con un luthier, lo cual incrementó los costos finales.Acabados básicos: Tanto los materiales como la construcción se sienten inferiores a otras series como la Affinity.Vendedor externo: Al ser vendida por un tercero, puede haber menos control de calidad y logística en comparación con comprar directamente de distribuidores oficiales.Sonido promedio: Aunque cumple su función, no esperes un tono refinado o gran versatilidad.Conclusión:La Debut Series Telecaster podría ser una opción para alguien que busca su primera guitarra eléctrica y no planea invertir mucho.
