One of the standout features of this pump is its compact design, making it easy to install in tight spaces without sacrificing performance. It’s built with marine-grade materials, so it can withstand the harsh conditions of life on the water, including exposure to saltwater and moisture. The pump is also incredibly durable, designed to last for years with minimal maintenance required. The automatic operation is another great feature; it activates when water reaches a certain level, so you don’t need to worry about manually turning it on. It also includes a float switch, which ensures the pump doesn’t run dry, protecting the unit from potential damage.Overall, the Five Oceans 750 GPH Boat Shower Sump Pump is an excellent choice for boaters looking to keep their showers clean and dry. It's easy to install, efficient, and built to last, making it a solid addition to any boat's water management system.

The drain was not a good replacement for the one I took out, the pump works fine but the automatic switch did not work consistently and I had to add an independent float switch. So it was not worth the money paid.

I needed to install a shower in my shop and had no access or ability to cut into the floor (rental). I was looking at a system built for residential but at $300+ I was looking for a more reasonably priced alternative.I had a 30' boat with a shower and the one in that worked great for the 5 years I owned it so when I saw this one, I thought "hmmm"It was a little troublesome getting it all to fit under a shower base (built a platform) but the small height made it fit perfectly. In fact, the P trap required the base to be higher than the actual pump box.I've used it a dozen times by now and it works flawlessly. The 750 gph far exceeds the flow of water out of the shower. I believe it says a 30 min duty cycle which isn't an issue because it doesn't run constantly when you shower, it cycles on and off. It's quiet too, you can barely hear it over the water. It's 12 volts so you will need a 5 amp ac adapter but I had 6 lying around from various items I bought (LED strip lights) so connecting it was a breeze. The 1 1/4" inlet is the one I used and it is really close to the smaller one next to it. It was a tight fit slipping a rubber connector over it, I had to trim off a bit of the rubber. A little soap helped too as when you press the rubber it tended to get thicker so a little soap helped it slide on.There have been comments made about removing the lid. To make it easier, press down on the lid to compress the gasket when unclipping. This will remove the pressure on the clips holding it.

I replaced an old shower sump system in my 1994 Catalina 320 sailboat. Shipping was fast and the installation was simple. I tested voltage on the wires with my bilge switch set to automatic and connected the positive wire from the new unit (after turning off power) and connected the ground to the existing ground. Tested the unit and everything worked well. The hose cutouts are close together if you have multiple inlets to your sump system. Mine has one inlet for the shower drain. All hoses stayed right where they were on the previous unit with a rule 1000 pump and float switch. No new fabrication was needed for my installation. The pressure from the pump was very good and I had to add plumbers Teflon tape on the fitting to prevent the hoses from leaking. Once installed the system works great with no leaks or issues. Some people have complained the lid doesn't screw on and that is true however; this is a plus for me because I had to remove a large portion of my flooring to do the install. With the six clips I can remove the lid from the bilge access for cleaning without removing the section of flooring in the future. My flooring comes out in sections and is screwed to the boats structure so removing the flooring wasn't a big deal. I just appreciate that I won't have too remove it for maintenance on the unit. If you can carefully lift the clips holding the lid on I don't believe they will break. The best part of this shower sump system is that it's well below half the cost of the units with a rule pump. The replacement pump with automatic float switch is readily available for about $30 so keeping the unit going will also be economical. The rule float switch and rule 1000 pump were both failing in the old unit so I do not believe there is a significant quality difference between the pumps. Replacing the Rule switch and pump would have cost much more than this unit new. I highly recommend this unit.
