Purchased on-line to avoid having to stand in the hardware isle staring at different types. Directions included. We used this to replace the seal and the bolts on my Kohler toilet. This is universal and has everything you need included. We didn't need the red seal but I saved it for one of my other toilets from another brand

Item was previously opened. May have been used and returned, but definitely a returned item as the plastic was obviously ripped open. Not damaged in shipping, but obviously sold to someone else and returned before it was then sold to me as brand new. Not impressed.

The universal gasket is thicker than my original one so it does raise the tank a bit. I had to add a foam shim to the back side to push the tank forward to balance it out. The seal is good and the water doesn’t leak from the gasket.
