Don't know why the Price suddenly increased after my review . These meters are already high priced in india , if the price goes on increasing suddenly by Rs3000 it is not good and cannot be encouraged . I got it for Rs 17950. it was imported in Dec 2017 it is nearing 1year after calibration the company says to recalibrate yearly . Fluke meters retains its calibration for a long time . I blew a fuse and the fuse costs Rs 1870/- I ordered then cancelled and ordered the same identical as seen in meter for Rs1500/ - from another link at amazon .in. Always I put safety first . I do not work on high voltages , the fuse blew when I put it on DC volt on car battery and the leads were in 10 Ampere socket the fuse blew without any sound . With the blown fuse I can measure everything except the upto 10 Ampere readings. I use it for household repairs for personal use in electronics and mains to measure voltages . I also bought Fluke 362 Clamp meter to measure AC/ Dc amperes upto 200 Amps it is not as accurate as the Fluke 179 , clamps can measure current without cutting the circuit . Eg checking current consumed by a fridge, the clamp has to be placed on a single wire if both wires are clamped they cancel out and a zero reading is seen. So fluke 179 is not for measuring current higher than 10 Amps.
