This HD back up camera is just awesome, the clarity is of exceptional quality, better than the dealer installed one. I have a 2012 vehicle and the camera along with the monitor stopped working. In checking with the dealer, they were going to charge about $1400 for the new camera, monitor, wiring, programming andeverything else. I then checked with another service station, and they were going charge $650 for something similar. This camera is easy to install, no wiring and the monitor sits nicely on the dash. You can also set the length of time you want the camera to stay on. Sometimes I turn the camera on when I’m driving to look at the traffic behind me to see if it's safe to change lanes. !'m in my 70s, and if I can install it, it can't be that difficult to install yourself. I rarely write reviews, but l've been so impressed with the cost, quality and the ease of installation that I wanted to share my thoughts...

The setup was easy and the picture was good. But the image only stays on for 60 seconds. Then you have to hit the on/off button. BTW, if you hit that button before 60 seconds to turn it off, it doesn't work. I hoped it stayed on as Florida drivers are crazy and come up on you fast and close. I assume it goes off to save battery time. Anyway, I bought a splitter to use it and the GPS simultaneously. It has a cord so I set it up so pressing the on button is easy rather than reaching into a dark place.

I purchased the Foxpark Solar Wireless Backup Camera as a replacement for myAuto-Vox CS-2 backup camera system that suddenly gave out on me after a couple of years or so. Instead of replacing with the same partially wired system, I decided to go with this fully wireless system. I admit that I was a little hesitant with going with a solar powered wireless camera, but after comparing the Foxpark wireless camera with other similar systems available within roughly the same price range, I felt quite comfortable that this was the unit to go with.The system arrived in half the advertised delivery time, and Installation was quite easy - just remove and mount behind the license plate, and mount the monitor to my windshield (you can mount to your dash too) with the included suction cup holder. No splicing wires into my backup light wires like on my old CS-2 camera. The camera and the base monitor paired immediately to each other - I never had to do that manually.The image is much larger, and definitely clearer than with my older system as it is a full 1080 HD image, which I am very happy with. I’ve only been using this Foxpark wireless camera for a couple of weeks now, but I must say that so far I have been quite happy with the image quality, and my ability to see what I am backing my truck up to in various levels of light, including bright sunlight, and low light nighttime settings.The only “ding” that i have is that since this is a fully wireless system and the camera is not connected to the wiring of the reverse lights, you have to remember to push the button on the power supply for the monitor every time you go to back up. I shouldn’t even call that a ding against the system - it is really a learning curve getting used to the new system itself. The first couple of times i went to backup and saw there was nothing on the monitor screen i was confused on what was wrong, then lightbulb went off and I pushed the button and everything was fine. Now it has become more routine - as I grab the transmission lever to go into reverse I automatically push the button now and everything works great. Like I said - it is a minor learning curve as there is with using anything new. There is actually a bonus to having to push a button to make the camera come on instead of having to put the vehicle into reverse first. That allows you to turn on the camera ANY time you want - like when you want to see just how close the person behind you is tailgating you.So far, I am very happy with the Foxpark Solar Wireless Backup Camera for ease of installation, image quality and use, and would recommend this product for anyone wanting a backup camera for their car or truck.

I have a hitch-mounted spare tire setup on my SUV which blocked the OEM rear camera, so I was looking for an easy way to add a rear backup camera that could restore my backup vision. I found this product on Amazon, and at under $150, with 1080P resolution, decided to give it a try.The setup took me no longer than 5 minutes (after about 4 hours of charging, as the instructions stated). Unlike traditional backup camera setups, which require wiring, this was about as easy as an install gets. As for the monitor inside, the kit comes with a windshield mount. It looked sturdy enough, but I decided not to use that as I didn't want anything blocking my windshield. Instead, I mounted it on top of a cell phone holder I was no longer using. Because the screen is very light, it's remarkably sturdy and doesn't shake even when driving over potholes or uneven terrain.The image quality is also excellent. While it's not as clear as the OEM image (which is a wired connection), it's impressive for the amount of distance between the screen and the camera. As a point of comparison, I had another wireless backup camera from a few years back that was only 1/2 the resolution (how quickly technology progresses!) Lastly, there is little to no lag in the image, which in my opinion, is as important, if not more so, than the resolution.So far, I've driven this through a few rainstorms, used it in freezing temperatures, and everything's held up the way it did out of the box. The solar charging has also kept it fully topped off ever since I installed it. I'm thoroughly impressed at the value of this kit and cannot recommend it enough for those looking for a way to add a backup camera to their vehicle.
