These luggage locks are a bit larger and denser than the ones I've always encountered in the past. This is a good thing in many ways. The lock is good quality and would seem that it would hold up better than the smaller ones. the color contrast is very helpful as the black lock mixed with the white numerals make it easy to see when you're pulling up your combination. Like most luggage locks now days, there is a button you can push once you enter your combination and the lock pops right out, making opening the lock a breeze.Needless to say, it is easy to use and put on your luggage in most cases. I say MOST cases because there is one disadvantage to having a larger lock. The bolt/wire that you would insert to lock your luggage is a little bit denser than the smaller variants of these. This could mean that if you are planning on running the line through the zipper of your luggage, they might be too thick. I looked at it carefully and can tell you that they would fit into your standard straw. I would put them at the size of those thin straws (not coffee stirrers) that you sometimes get at bars with a drink. The ones that are wide enough to actually drink from, but small enough to feel almost like a stirrer. If a normal sized straw will fit in your luggage zipper holes (even if you have to squeeze it through), these will work for you.

I have used a lot of TSA locks , some opened with keys , others with number lock, others built into the luggage. This is the first one that I have seen that has 4 numbers instead of the usual 3 numbers . This makes it more difficult to open as there is 10,000 combination codes as compared to a thousand for the 3 number locks. It also uses the latest TSA008 key which is a unique round one that cannot be duplicated. I admit I own the TSA 002 and TSA 007 keys which I purchased when I forgot my combination number on one of my luggage. One other thing that separates this from the other TSA Locks is the built in red indicator that pops up when a TSA agent opens the lock with a TSA 008 key. This tells you that your luggage has been inspected. Overall, highly recommended not only for the new features but it is also solidly built and easy to set up.

Admittedly, this is the first TSA lock I've used. I'm one of those skeptics that doesn't understand the point of a TSA lock. I understand it's suppose to be a deterrent, and it may even isolate my luggage as 'valuable' to knowing thieves. However, I am travelling overseas twice, and this lock will help give me peace of mind so I can leverage the hotel luggage storage when I arrive early (before check-in). Needless to say, I'm very happy with this product. The package comes with 2 locks and instructions. It takes about 10-15 secs to read the instructions to understand how to reset the default passkey to your own unique passkey. It's really simple. The lock comes in weighing 70g. I really did have to weigh it because I am intending to use this for my golf travel bag. It felt heavy enough that I need to confirm the weight so I do not exceed the check on limit. The cable loop on the lock is large enough to be used on an actual locker at the gym, swimming pool, or anywhere that has free lockers available. Thus providing additional uses. It's a 4 combination lock, and it's well priced compared to competitors. I would recommend this product.

I’m gearing up for my upcoming Europe trip, and these TSA-approved luggage locks are exactly what I needed! The 4-digit combination is easy to set, and I love the TSA008 feature which ensures airport security can unlock it without damaging my bags. The zinc alloy body feels sturdy and durable, providing a sense of security for my belongings. What I especially love is the Open Alert Indicator—it’s such a helpful feature for peace of mind, letting me know if my lock has been tampered with. These locks will be going on my backpack so I don’t have to worry about someone opening it in crowded areas, like on trains or in tourist spots. The black color is sleek and unobtrusive, and with four locks in the set, I’ve got plenty for all my bags. For the price, these are a great investment in security while traveling. If you’re heading abroad and want an easy, reliable way to keep your bags safe, these are definitely worth it!

These Forge TSA Approved Luggage Locks 4 Digit Combination TSA Travel Locks with TSA008 are okay. They feel heavy duty the flexible connector helps them fit through a variety of lock spaces, and will do a good enough job encouraging people to go for someone else's bag or locker. The switch to reset the locks is easy enough to move with a pen tip, but not with your nails (unless you have some really strong stiletto style nails and don't mind using them as tools) and it doesn't move when the lock is engaged. That said, the are fairly easy to pick with minimal to moderate knowledge. I set a combo at random and, when my spouse to came home, I asked him to evaluate it. Without knowing the code, he had it open in under a minute, probably closer to 30 seconds. That said, it says right on the bottom of them that it takes the TSA008 key which anyone can buy for pretty cheap, so even non-lock pickers could get in. This isn't going to make anything super secure. However it does feel and look sturdy enough that it will make your bag a hair less attractive, which really is the point of locks like these.
