I purchased these to use with the new IPL that I bought even though it says protective glasses aren't required with the brand/model I purchased. I'm not comfortable taking chances as I already have poor eyesight and wear glasses. They fit well and I can even wear them over my glasses if I'm careful and make sure they are all the way up on the bridge of my nose. I may be lucky in that I have a small head and so my glasses aren't wide or tall and fit easily inside the lenses and still have the extra protective sides/bottom.I have only used them once so it's difficult for me to rate the durability over time however they do seem to be well made. I hope they last for a long time.

Much better than the eye protection that most IPL hair removers and red-light systems come with.

Ok so these aren’t the strongest set of laser eye protection that you can get BUT it does cover a huge range or spectrums and being that I have multiple lasers I am happy to report that these did well for both my diode lasers 405nm AND fiber lasers 1064nm - I definitely don’t intensely stare at my projects, but from all the work I’ve with them so far, I haven’t had any issues with any hurt to my eyes! - Definitely wish they were high OD rated for that extra piece of mind, but so far for me these are great for a all in one item that I can wear with whatever laser I’m using at the time! 9.6/10

Warning: these are not suitable for laser engravers! If you're looking for safety glasses for 4000+ mW lasers, get at least OD6 protection in the relevant wavelengths. These are up to OD5, which isn't enough.I've been using FreeMascot safety glasses for a while now with my laser engravers, and my optometrist hasn't warned me of any damage to my eyes. They're durable and do what they claim. These cover a wider range than my previous pairs and will be used for other projects.

I purchased a similar pair of safety googles from this manufacturer 5+ years ago, for use with high-powered multi & single mode DPSS laser diodes. While I believe this one is inferior to my previous purchase is of a lower rating. However, the design of the goggles is a clear night and day difference. My older pair wrap entirely around my eye sockets allowing almost no path for any accidentally reflected beams or diffuse light through, while the newer pair seemingly has massive gaps on every side. The older pair also has rubber around certain places where the frame rests on the skin, new pair does not.New pair does work blocking or reducing most of my higher frequency 300-500nm diffuse light, but I would not take a beam directly to the eye, nor would I trust the the broad spectrum rating of 200-2000nm to work equally as effective across all light within that range.
