Real carbon fiber. Super thin.Little tough to get on but really nice case.

Not even carbon fiber. More like a a thin piece of plastic with cutouts that don't line up. Don't be fooled.

This case as the pictures I've uploaded depict is extremely minimalist and this can be good for certain occasions. Especially if you're at home quite a bit with generally in a vicinity with a floor that isn't concrete or really hard tiling. It does provide safety for the edges, and appears to protect the camera bump slightly, however doesn't cover volume and power buttons. Reason for this so that carbon fiber of this rigidity doesn't have my flexion so you would be able to press the buttons if it did. Which is okay, but if you were to drop your phone and it spins, drops on its edge with the volume rocker exposed.. well you get what I mean. This has happened in the past where my volume rocker while still operational, lose it's clickyness. The material itself is definitely genuine, still feel it could be knocked down in price. As $30-35 is quite a bit for such a minimal case, that also sadly doesn't include Magsafe phone grip. It is in my rotation of phone cases for home use, but I do currently use a different case with flex impact cushions and and all around coverage for outdoor/ gym use. However a really great still that serves situational purposes, and definitely better than using nothing if you do wish to daily drive a minimal case.

I've been using this case for a couple of days now and it's been working well so far. The case truly is really slim and is moreso for protecting the back of the phone for when you set it down on a table, or for allowing you to grip the device better, rather than something for full on drop protection and heavy duty ruggedness of course. The case covers the back of the device very well with a small lip for the camera circle, and it wraps the sides of the phone fairly well too with good cutouts for everything. If you're looking for screen protection, you won't find it here. The screen is left bare and there isn't even a slight lip to lift the screen off of the desk if you set it down flat. If your goal is just to improve the grip of the phone or change up the look of the device, then this case will suit you fine, but if you want something to protect the phone in the case of a drop, this case isn't for you. I think you can achieve a good mix of protection but sleekness if you combine this with a tempered glass screen protector, but overall I am very happy with how much this improves the grip of the phone without adding bulk which is important to me due to how big the device is.

This case was everything I expected. Fits great and it is made from a true Aramid fiber and not plastic like I have bought from others. It matters, because that fiber gives it grip. And it looks fantastic!Not sure why people buy a case like this and then complain in their reviews that it doesn't give good drop protection. It is meant for scratch protection, grip and style. If you can grip your phone and be somewhat careful this is a great option. I wanted a minimalist thin case and a quality fiber for a nice feel, with a good fit, and is stylish. That is exactly what I got.If you want a thick military grade drop protection case because you tend to be tough on your phone, you are looking at the wrong product.
