My trunk would sometimes open when the fob was in my pocket. This solved the problem.

My last fob was pretty much destroyed carrying it it my pocket with other stuff. This one should last a lifetime. It is a good hard shell case. You can't press the buttons with it in the case. You would have to remove the front clear cover. When I walk up to the car it unlocks and locks when I walk away. I don't have a power rear cargo door so I don't need to use any buttons. If I had to I could pop off the cover to get to the buttons. Putting the clear cover on was a little tricky so you would not be able to just pop it open and close like a lid. It keeps me from junk hitting buttons in my pocket.

I like that the cover fits very tightly, to the point where I heated it with a hair dryer to better accommodate application.It keeps dust and debris out. Provides some impact protection.Downside is that very firm pressure is required on buttons to activate desired function, however, that may be an upside, too, considering you're less likely to accidentally activate any function.I'd buy it again.
