The only reason I didn't give it a higher star rating was due to the pocket on the same side as the hole for the lever. I removed the pocket and had to cut a larger hole to accommodate the lever and then patch up the hole to prevent fraying. I also had to purchase a package of mattress elastic straps to help with the fit. Without them the back of the chair would sag with the footrest up.The material is very soft and stretchy. Once I was able to get it to fit properly, I love it. I also bought the matching 3 seater couch cover - that I gave 5 stars! It was easy to put on and looks great.

I am thrilled to share my experience with the H.VERSAILTEX Velvet Stretch Recliner Couch Covers. As a proud owner of a recliner chair, I have always struggled to find the perfect cover that not only protects my chair but also adds a touch of elegance to my living room. Thankfully, I stumbled upon these amazing chair covers and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.First and foremost, the quality of the H.VERSAILTEX Velvet Stretch Recliner Couch Covers is outstanding. The velvet material feels luxurious and is incredibly soft to the touch. It instantly transforms my old recliner into a stylish and sophisticated piece of furniture. The attention to detail is evident in every stitch, ensuring a perfect fit and a seamless look. One of the things I love most about these chair covers is their stretchability. The four-piece style allows for a snug fit, hugging every curve and contour of my recliner chair. The elastic bottom ensures that the cover stays in place, even when I am reclining or moving around. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my chair is fully protected from spills, stains, and pet hair.Another standout feature of these chair covers is their versatility. The H.VERSAILTEX Velvet Stretch Recliner Couch Covers come in a wide range of colors and patterns, allowing me to choose the perfect one to match my existing décor. Whether I want to create a cozy atmosphere with a deep burgundy cover or add a pop of color with a vibrant blue, there is an option for every style preference.Maintenance is a breeze with these chair covers. They are machine washable, which is a huge plus for me. I can easily remove and clean them whenever necessary, keeping my recliner chair looking fresh and inviting at all times. In conclusion, the H.VERSAILTEX Velvet Stretch Recliner Couch Covers have exceeded my expectations in every way. Back in April 2023 I ordered two versions of these recliner covers. The one piece which was for a large lift recliner and the four piece for a regular size lift recliner. The installation of the one piece was a piece of cake. Essentially put it over tuck it under and it's good to go. On the other hand, the four piece, for me anyway, was a disaster. Covers have to be generic, so they won't fit perfectly for every recliner on the market. A couple of days ago I ordered a second one piece. With the one piece. It's big but you can tuck it in here there and everywhere on the four piece you're having to attach a loops to any place you can to try to hold things in place and there's always something coming loose. Maybe it's just me. I am a senior citizen with limited functionality. Bottom line is that these are a good quality and for my purposes the one piece is what I will always order. I do recommend these covers.

Anyone that has ever put a slip cover on knows it’s never as easy as the photos or videos show. Expect to sweat and get frustrated, no matter what. This is the 3rd one I’ve ever bought but only the 2nd I’ve tried for my recliner. Recliner slip covers are a crap shoot based on how they’re made and your specific chair dimensions. This one was difficult to put on bc my recliner back goes down super low so the ability to “tie” the elastic ties together was almost impossible. I had to turn my recliner over on it’s side in order to pull the ties together enough to knot. That’s not a fault of the slip cover just simply the dimensions not matching perfectly.I knocked a star off on the fact that the back of the cover does not fully cover - the way the “ties work, it leaves a little bit of the recliner showing no matter how hard you try. I showed the back in the pics - it’s not a huge amount showing but nonetheless it’s not FULL coverage.I’m also not incredibly happy about how the arm pieces cover. I showed pics of both arm sides and you can see the elastic doesn’t fully grip under the arm so it again can move up and show the recliner underneath. Showing the recliner isn’t a huge issue but the “leather” there has worn off and I wanted this slip cover to keep my skin from touching the worn area. It works most of the time but I’ll continually have to pull the arm pieces down to keep the area covered as I desire. The longer I go on this review the more I think maybe it’s a 3 not a 4 star but again, I think most of the problems I have are due to my recliner dimensions. It’s an oversized one so it doesn’t fit most slip covers properly.

We just completed a small renovation of our basement into an office. We had two recliners; one is pretty old—something like 16-17 years old—and leather (dark brown) and very scratched up from years of abuse by multiple cats. The other is fake suede, mocha color, that we inherited from a relative. It had a lot of stains on it, which no amount of cleaning seemed to remove. We decided to try to cover these mismatched recliners rather than to purchase new ones. These recliners are on the large side. They’re both pretty similar in size and slightly different in shape. I ordered the dark gray velvet stretch covers. I was a little bit concerned that the covers would be too small. But they seem to fit very well. And they do stretch a lot. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. As you can see from the photo my cats seem to like it!I only have two small complaints:1) The color is a bit different than I thought it would be from the pictures. I thought it would be a dark, charcoal gray. It is more of a medium gray. Not the end of the world.2) There is no good way to secure the back. The loops just don’t seem to connect to anything that will pull it tight enough and work well with the arm covers back there. Putting it underneath sort of worked OK for one recliner (the mocha suede one) But for the leather one there was no good way to secure the back so it just kind of flops around back there at the bottom. Could be that my chairs don’t have the recommended internal configurations. The back of the recliner looks sort of messy but it still looks infinitely better than the scratched up surface it was before.Installation was not terrible. Though, I do believe it’s a two-person job if you want it done so that it stays put and looks clean. So far they seem to be staying put. My husband and I (and the cats) both got in and out of the recliners several times, putting the legs up and down and everything seems to have stayed in place.Overall, I would recommend them. Especially if you’re trying to save some money until you can find suitable replacement chairs.
