The bowl itself is nice, but the spoon has to be in a certain position for the lid to close. The cutout on the lid isn’t big enough for it to lay comfortably, and it must sit nearly vertical. Also, the spoon isn’t curved like my old one making it more difficult to scoop at an angle. These two issues will drive me crazy, so I’m returning it. It’s a shame because it looks good.

I really like the look of this sugar bowl—it goes great in our modern mostly black & white kitchen. It holds plenty of sugar for our morning coffee needs. The bowl is not nearly as shiny as some of the promotional photos make it out to be—ours has almost a matte finish with just a slight sheen. The included ceramic spoon is small and delicate and I don’t expect the handle to survive long, certainly not if it’s dropped (which it will inevitably be). There is an indent in both the lid and the bowl so the spoon can rest in the bowl with the lid on. The knob on the lid is quite small, so those with larger fingers/hands may find that a little annoying. All in all though, a nice modern ceramic piece.

I bought this sugar bowl for my husband who still puts a teaspoon of sugar in his coffee cup. The shape is a bit clumsy; however, he's learning how to grasp it without dropping it. The size is perfect, not too large. He is happy with it.
