This is an awesome kit that can make any of the 3 regular HQ bloodthirsters. Which makes this a versatile kit. The model looks awesome too.

My only complaint with this kit is the chest armor. It's a pain to put on if making the version with the two-handed axe. I ended up leaving it off. That said, this model is massive. It can be assembled in three different configurations. The level of detail is the great quality one would expect from GW.

The Bloodthirster of Khorne is an outstanding model. For purposes of this review, I will talk about the overall product itself, options you have when building the model, and ease of build. If you don't feel like reading the full review, rest assured that it's a great model with a decent amount of customization options. There are two plastic Bloodthirster model kits that are currently out there. This kit gives you the option of building one of three different Bloodthirsters that are basically separated by what weapon they use. The three options are: (1) Wrath of Khorne Bloothirster (chain flail and axe); (2) Bloodthirster of Unfettered Fury (axe and whip); and (3) Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage (huge axe). You can probably magnetize the arms or wrists to swap the weapons out, but that might be more trouble than it's worth. This kit can be used for both Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40k. There is another Bloodthirster kit that lets you build Skarbrand and/or incorporate the Skarbrand components into a normal Bloodthirster; this is not that kit. Here's the link to the Skarbrand kit (https://www.amazon.com/Games-Workshop-Warhammer-Skarbrand-Miniature/dp/B015V7Q3Z2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1537554125&sr=8-2&keywords=skarbrand). The Skarbrand kit costs a little more, but you get some extra parts out of it and the ability to build a special character. In terms of customization, you have several options for your Bloodthirster, regardless of which type you choose to build. The first option you're faced with is whether your model has its feet planted firmly on the ground or if its slightly up in the air with flames coming out of its one hoof. From there, you have some customization options for model's waist/groin armor, with two options for the belt buckle area and two options for the tabard. There's also optional armor plates you can add to the thighs and forearms. You also have the two options for chest armor, if you choose to use it. The model's chest is very well detailed and the armor is not required. You also have three different head options and the option to add armor to one of the model's shoulders. Finally, you have several options for charms, spikes and chains to add to the model's wings. While there are a great deal of options for customizing your Bloodthirster, one area where the model is fairly limited is the pose. Unless you do some very heavy converting, you are essentially looked into the poses seen on the box. That's not terrible as the pose is pretty cool. If you are thinking of doing multiple Bloodthirsters in your army, it would probably be a good idea to pick up the Skarbrand box and use the legs in there for a slightly different pose.Okay so let's talk about assembly. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was somewhat odd gluing the upper back in place, but once you figure out how it fits it goes on pretty nicely. The thigh and arm armor plates are somewhat odd to place as they don't have a 100% set location, but it's easy enough to figure out about where they go. One of the most difficult parts was placing the chains and trinkets on the torn portions of the wings, the hooks just didn't seem to fit the holes in the wings all that well.Overall this is a great model and was pretty fun to build. I saw some people complain elsewhere that they needed to fill lots of gaps on the model, but I haven't encountered that. If you are doing a Khorne army in either AoS or 40k, you really can't go wrong with a Bloodthirster.

What a deal. For $20 cheaper than everywhere else, it can't be beat. I put him together the day he came in. You can build any of the three different types of Bloodthirster in this box.
