I'm a highly rated player and teaching pro who's been stringing rackets for 40 years now. I've strung on everything from the $3K+ stringers to the little drop-weight tabletop my uncle started me with when I was 12 (everyone should try stringing on one of those!). I've even strung for some tour players using the most advanced machines on the market, and I can say with the voice of experience that this little Gamma is well worth the investment. It's accurate, easy to use, and well thought out in every detail. It doesn't use the electronic tensioners of the more expensive machines but I guarantee you won't be able to tell the difference, and it's oh so handy to just stash in the closet -- I have it on a rolling cart -- and it comes with everything you need, although I'd recommend getting a starter hand clamp with it. Overall, I'm very, very pleased with this and glad I didn't spend the extra thousands for the electronic standups. Kudos to Gamma for continuing to impress with affordable, equipment that gets the job done.

Es mejor de lo que esperabas ya la empecé a usar, cabe aclarar que es la primera vez que encordo una raqueta y quedó a la presión que yo quería.

The stringer came with a manual and there are ample videos available on-line to get you started with stringing your own tennis racquets. I never strung my own racquets before, but I found the process fairly simple. Without becoming too expensive, It allows me to experiment with different strings and tensions to complement my level of play. I am very pleased with the stringing results. The stringer comes apart easily for storage in a bin. It also comes with several tools and a storage drawer. It can be quickly set up on a table.

I was on the fence about getting a stringing machine. But I got the Gamma X ELS and I'm very happy with it. It's so easy to use that even my 12 year old daughter is now stringing her own racquet as well. The truth is that the documentation that comes with the machine is very poor and Gamma could have provided a more detail manual. Fortunately, there are YouTube videos online available to learn from.

Excellent staining machine for size, price and ease of use. It is well made and ideal for a table top. Comes with an instruction manual and straining guide. The photos in the guides are in b/w and a little difficult to see clearly. Otherwise, very informative. The unit comes with 2 flying clamps, an awl and a Gamma Pathfinder awl, all very useful. However, you will need to purchase a pair of snips to cut the new/old strings. Great unit for a beginner!

Top quality budget priced stringing machine, perfect for beginner stringers, ideal for club level tennis players who play regularly and want to be able to string their own racquets. Definitely recommend purchasing a starting clamp and decent pair of side cutters to compliment this machine and tools that re supplied with it.
