Installed this as a backup camera on our boat and experienced issues with the connectivity to our Garmin MFD; camera would freeze and go black. Contacted Garmin Support, but they provided no assistance. Ultimately, replaced the GC 100 with a GC 14 wired camera. So far the GC 14 has worked as ecpected.

This was a HUGE disappointment. Three times the cost of an other wireless camera. It would not connect to the Garmin wireless consistently. When connected, it would not display a picture. Got it to work once after dozens of attempts. Cheaply made, and unworthy of the Garmin label

Tough time installing because instruction were wrong but Garmin support was great. Instructions say full time power but has rechargeable batteries.Cameras take a while to connect with each power up of MFD. Very expensive for camera technology but only unit to connect to Garmin displays so they gotcha.Camera works well with two views and infrared option.

If you need a real video camera use other options. Wouldn’t pair with my Garmin Plotter, then after 15 tries it paired but jumpy video that dropped and froze. Called Garmin, tried a firmware update with no success. Got a $100 hard wired camera that wirks great for 1/3 the price

Camera installs and works as described. I’m using it as a reverse camera on my boat synced to my Garmin 742 chart plotter. I needed to update my chart plotter software before I could sync the camera. Very wide field of view from camera.Really helps reversing into a narrow slip. I mounted the camera on the underside of the radar arch on my 30’ express cruiser. Works great
