Like my Sovol 6 Plus printer but it had a power supply fan that was extremely loud. Let just say this was a great quality of life improvement.

I've bought several used SMX APC UPS units for a project. One, that otherwise functions perfectly, was manufactured in 2010. This was the only one in the bunch that couldn't be upgraded to the most current firmware so I don't know if it's that or a faulty sensor but both fans spin at a pretty high speed all the time and really too loud to make it useable even in the out of the way spot I have it located.First bought a pair of fans and didn't read the product description closely enough (my bad). Fans weren't meant to operate 24 hours a day so bought two of these.Came with nuts/bolts long enough to mount for my use (other fans didn't) so installed them with some material between the fans and the device to reduce potential vibration noise. Now this UPS is the quiet one of the bunch. Yes, in this one they are always on but really not audible from more than a few feet away (others spin up intermittently and you can hear those from a distance). I've had the unit in use for a week or so since the install and seems to produce plenty of air flow (based on what I feel coming out the back), battery pack temps the same as the other units and just doing basic checks of running my hands across the case of the unit seems to be right around the ambient temperature in the room. Will update if there are any durability issues but so far so good!

I've got a QSC GX5 amplifier I use for my home stereo. It has a stock cooling fan that runs whenever the amp is on, and its decibel level at its lowest speed exceeds 35 decibels. The stock fan could be heard anywhere in the room, which was very distracting when music was not being played or was being played at a low volume. I had heard of many people performing modifications to the amp, installing a lower volume, lower speed fan to keep the noise down. I ordered the GDSTime fan to perform that kind of a modification. Its decibel levels are in the mid-20's range and was the same size as the 24 Volt fan I pulled out of the GX5. Connect was easy. I just cut the connector off of the GDSTime fan and spliced it into the wires from the GX5. Fan volume was drastically reduced, so much so that unless I am right next to the amp, I can't hear it. A wonderful improvement! It still cools the amp just fine, just at a much lower decibel level, which is awesome.
