Install was tedious due to the way the dryer was built but it works perfectly, buying me a few more years (after 38 years of service).

We have a GE gas clothes drier that eats up igniters (glow bars) like potato chips. They all fail the same way. It is a clear product design defect that has cost us more in GE's OEM igniters that the original price of the drier, which is why I was relieved to find this much less expensive replacement product. So far, it has lasted as long as any of the OEM igniters and performs identically. It is a pain to install, but that's true whether its an OEM or aftermarket igniter.

Easy to install and works great. On the dryers that I've replaced this item, the easiest thing to do was remove the entire tray holding the igniter and not try to contort myself under the drum. Two screws to make your life easier. just hold the spring clips apart when inserting the new part so you don't risk breaking the ceramic and it will take almost no force to plug in the tab.Don't forget to wear rubber gloves when handling it.

Working perfectly for a fraction of the price I paid locally for an OEM ignitor.
