The M5 part of the description (M5x12) is correct in that it describes the size of the screw thread. However, this is not the same as the outer diameter of the Nut, which is 12 mm long (as described). The actual outer diameter is 5.9 mm. It would be good if the seller included this information. In addition, it would be nice if the Nut had some way of being held against the torque of the screw when tightening. I ended up grinding 2 flats so I can get a needle nose plier on it. Otherwise, the fasteners are pretty good.

Bought this to repair some belts that the rivets failed. Available in different sizes so I could used in different belts. Looks great and easy to use and fit perfectly. Well worth the price since it helped repair belts that otherwise would have been trash

These screw-together style rivets are well made, with nice unobtrusive heads.I got them to make attaching my new snow shovel edge a little easier and more user-friendly for subsequent replacement.This stainless steel should be a lot better than the rusty old rivets that were on there.

The item that I received and am reviewing is the Glvaner 30 Sets M4 x 8mm Binding Screws.I've used this style of binding screws over the years for my leather projects. I was pleased to finally find them in stainless steel as they should remain bright and shiny for an extended period of time. One thing to note is that the head is built for a flat screwdriver or a Phillips head screwdriver. I suggest using a Phillips head as I had problems with the flathead screwdriver tending to start cross threading. They install easily and the slightly raised head looks really nice on a leather belt. I consider 30 sets for this price to be a bargain. The pictures below show the old screws that were removed and replaced with the Glvaner binding screws.
