No need to remove door panel, just watch a youtube video on how to get this out. The reason the switches fail is that it is not sealed, and its housing is one of the low points on the arm rest, so if ever any rain water comes in the window, it will run down into the switch and corrode the contacts. In my case the window could be rolled up but not down using this switch, but could move both directions with the driver switch. This replacement corrected the problem.

Bought for a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport. Passenger window would only roll down using the driver's switch. The passenger switch only worked rolling the window up. I bought this switch from Amazon, after looking everywhere online. Eckler's Corvette had the next cheapest price at $27. This was a steal at $12 from Amazon.Install took 10 minutes. Door panel is easy to remove. Installed switch and window worked perfect. Saved me hundreds from going to the dealer!
