After using this water container for the last 3 weeks (basically filled and emptied 3 times) the water pour spout gave up on me. It looks like the plastic is very thin at the top of the cap where the spout comes out of. The container itself is still ok and luckily it came with another cap without the pour spout so I can still use it to hold water. But the spout is definitely a weak link. Anyone know if I can purchase the pour spout caps separately?

I put off buying one of these until after my camping season was over so I got one for next season. This container is strongly built per towing water or has a small faucet which I will use adjacent to my sink in my camper. I think the size is just right for two people. A family of four is going to need something bigger.

I have a number of garden sprayers, almost all electrically powered. For spraying herbicides I use one that readily attaches to the standard 1-gallon jug that garden herbicides like RoundUp come in. I recently acquired a battery-powered pressure washer that came with an long feed tube for immersion in a bucket water supply. After a few trials, it occurred to me that a system like my herbicide sprayers was far better. What I needed was a good quality tank water supply with key needed features:1) About 3 gal in size to have manageable weight yet sufficient capacity for modest uses2) To have a comfortable horizontal handle for carrying the tank3) Have a large fill port for easy filling (and interior access for cleaning if necessary)4) Have a convenient vent to prevent the sprayer from collapsing the tank during operation5) Have a lower drain port that can accommodate connection to the sprayer feed hose6) Be robust, but light weight, for good durability7) Be capable of having the drain port positioned either at the top or bottom of the tank8) Have a good price pointAfter browsing a variety of similar tanks on Amazon, I chose the GoCampDirect as having all my desirable features at an attractive price. The one disadvantage noted in the reviews was the possible failure of the spigot thread if over tightened. Since I'm not using the supplied spigot, that's not an issue for me. For the spigot hole cap, which I am using, I'll be careful not to over tighten it, and leave it a bit loose while stored between uses so as to not cause a long-term creep failure. My pressure washer comes with a female garden hose (F-GHT) fitting as one option for attachment to the water source. To accommodate the GHT fitting, I purchased a bulkhead-mount brass male garden hose nipple and attached it to the tank's spigot drain cap (see photos). This provides a nice robust standard garden-hose connection and also allowed a separate GHT cap (which came with the nipple) to be used to cap off the tank when not connected to the pressure washer hose. As an added bonus, GoCampDirect also includes a cleaning brush and flexible spouts for mounting to their spigot valve. In trial runs with the new tank and a 5-foot connecting hose, the pressure washer is convenient to maneuver and to pickup and move between close-by applications. My typical applications include washing/rinsing off house windows, the car, and garden shrubbery. These uses only take a minute or two and greatly benefit from the portability provided by the integrally connected tank. The 3-gallon size works just fine and is light enough when filled to be easily portable. The setup works like a champ! Far easier than a long garden hose or bucket connection. For the same reasons, the GoCampDirect tank should also work well as a convenient and serviceable camping water source. For camping applications the added hose-thread nipple would allow the tank to be connected to dozens of hose-thread compatible couplings and valves. A creative person could easily envision adding a small electric pump and touch-on/touch-off switch to provide a kitchen-like running water supply or a small camp shower. My system would provide a nice camp pressure washer. If I were GoCampDirect, I'd add a garden-hose nipple to their existing drain cap while also increasing in robustness to over tightening. They could also sell a camp water pump with shower attachment. Be a leg up on the competition.

I’ve filled. They are not leaking. I like the spout for being able to set at a sink and wash hands when there is no running water. I like it’s not super heavy to move around. I love the large lid for easy refill from tap, another container, a spring , etc. It also comes with the ability to store the valve inside the lid, which is a great feature. I got a nice, large brush with it to clean the inside and two plastic spouts. I’ll order again from this seller since the brush for cleaning I don’t think was mentioned in the description but was a great feature. The lid opening is really large enough I could get my hand in for cleaning though. Great product fitting all the check boxes I had. Didn’t notice any smell with it at all.

Jug is great! High quality and heavy duty. Unfortunately the spigot broke after 2 weeks of use. It cracked around the edges and would not hold water.
