I started looking at really cheap $30 scopes and the more I read the more I got concerned they really don't offer much clarity at a distance over 30-40 yards. I selected this one because it was the entry level scope on the professional class BK4. I often find that to be a sweet spot for me on most products. The low end of the top tier of quality. It is well built, feels solid and since Im not transporting to the weight isnt an issue for me. I can clearly see holes in my target at 100+ yards and thats all I needed. However, I am dying to try some moon shots with my camera and look at wildlife in the trees around my house when Im not at the range! Love this selection. You wont be dissapointed and you will save some serious money if your needs are similar to mine.

I'm new to the whole binocular / monocular / spotting scope thing, and wanted to upgrade from basic binoculars, to something that would allow us to better see all the birds, ducks, etc. in our backyard. It might seem like a big jump to go from cheap binoculars to a Gosky HD Spotting Scope - but WOW! The difference is well worth it.AFTER RESEARCH - CHOSE GOSKY: After many hours of research, I decided to narrow it down to several brands... and decided that Gosky has a good selection of products and is very well rated - not only via Amazon reviews, but also in several online articles rating scopes.FULLY COATED 80mm LENS/BAK-4 PRISM/HD: Even though there were cheaper Gosky (and other) spotting scopes available, I went with this HD scope. I would rather pay a little more for higher quality now, than pay less and get a so-so image. Isn't that the most important feature of any scope - to have a great view of what you're looking at?20x-60x ZOOM: I thought it might be overkill for looking at the backyard, but it's actually perfect. I can easily switch from looking at the feeders, to moving up and seeing what is in the trees. Considering this is my first spotting scope, I would say it has a very intuitive design...and it feels solid and precise when I move the knobs.OTHER NICE FEATURES: It's waterproof (fully), has a sunshade (not all do), nice lens covers (important), carrying case (sleek style, with padding), and came with a tabletop tripod (which is much better quality than another one I received with a different camera purchase). Also, I had a question I sent them, and Gosky Support emailed me back on the same day.OPEN ITEMS: My only open items are that I need to figure out the smart phone adapter better - having a hard time getting things to line up and hold nicely. And, I think it would be good to have a full-size tripod so that I could use it outside / look up at the moon, etc..OVERALL: Very happy with this purchase, and will look for other Gosky items in the future!

The scope is decent quality with good optics, smooth focus, and smooth zoom. Tripod is ok quality, it holds the scope steady most of the time but does have some shake. It could have a wider stance for more stability. The included cell phone adapter is absolutely a piece of junk. It does not attach to the scope securely nor does it center the camera over the eyepiece.

This 20X60X80MM spotting scope is incredible. Highly recommend for the avid hunter or shooting enthusiast. Here are my pros; 1. Great handling scope. I never felt like it would slip from my hands. 2. The glass on this thing is crystal clear. No excuses on missing wildlife on the next ridge over. 3. Very simple to use out of the box. 4. The remote shutter device is an added bonus in my opinion. I synced it to my iPhone in seconds and was able to take pictures without touching the tripod or spotting scope. 5. The lifetime warranty is awesome because I will be putting this thing to the test. 6. Waterproof!!! Can it get any better? Here are my cons. 1. Take a look at my photos and you will see that the mounting of the scope to the tripod is 90degrees off in my opinion. It doesn’t hurt the performance in anyway but in order for the vertical up and down to work correctly you have to mount the scope 90 degrees opposite of the mount. 2. The eye piece protective cap needs some sort of restraint to keep it intact to the scope. I will loose it for sure. 3. There are 2 extra caps and I have no idea what they are for.In my personal outdoors opinion, I would recommend this product 100%.
