I'm still getting the hang of things, but so far so good for this laser cutter. The online support community seems helpful too. The engraver is of ample size and seems like it'll be a great machine to continue learning on.

We are using this on leather and fabric, and for projects on ceramic or tile. Once I have a chance to put this through its paces, I’lll come back and report.

I'm still figuring out the software part of it but the machine worked great. Not hard to set up. My son engraved on a egg shaped ornament for Easter and it turned out beautiful! He's trying to teach me, I'll get the hang of it soon enough! I wanted this to engrave on small wooden objects to sell in our side hustle business at craft shows.

This attempt at a review is for the "Acmer P1 S Pro Laser Engraver, 6W(6,000mW) Output Laser Engraving Machine, Laser Engraver Machine for Wood, Metal, Acrylic, Leather etc"Full disclaimer: I am probably the worst person in the world to try and review this high performance machine. I'm terrible at tech. I know NOTHING about laser engravers, but ever since the glowforge came out, I have wanted one. Obviously, the glowforge might have been the better product for me because of it's ease of use and simple software, but when this popped up for me to order, I couldn't resist. At my age, it's very good for me to try and learn new things; it's just slow going.I'm still learning how to work it, and since I'm old and not tech savvy that will be a very long process. I promise to update my review as I go, but it might take a while. I'm good at putting things together, so the build was ok for me. It seems to be great quality. Again, I no nothing, but I didn't find any super cheap hardware or anything and it's solid. The ruler is very precise and printed well, they included a way to keep all the cables together, and the thing just looks really tech-y and well made. But again, maybe those things are common for these machines. I chose LaserGRBL to use as my software since some research suggested that was the easiest one to learn to use for beginners. I so far haven't found much in the way of really good tutorials on how to use it, but that's obviously a different product. It's just that I need to know how to work that in order to know how to work this machine. I've done a few little tests, but I truly don't know what I'm doing. I will say the machine moves so smoothly! I obviously checked the reviews for this before I ordered it, and the people who seem to know what they are doing say it's a really great machine, so I ordered it. I think the value is great, because I've been looking at these for a while, and most of them are much more expensive. I hate to give such a crappy, unhelpful review because I don't know what I'm doing, but it could easily be a year before I'm really able to say anything that's truly helpful to anyone in terms of it's functionality. I'm sorry. I will provide an update when I can.
