When my longtime hard plastic ladle broke, I picked this simply because it’s not made from petrochemicals. What I didn’t realize is that has a slightly flexible bowl, making it so much better at scooping up from the bottom of the pot. I still have a big steel ladle for the mega pots of chili, but for everything else, this is my instant go-to, and I even use it in a few situations when I previously would have never thought of reaching for a ladle.
