This gel pad adds a layer of comfort and cooing effect to car seats, strollers, or high chairs. The pad does not require refrigeration as the cooling gel layer just does its thing. The liner is kinda bulky and heavy. I could see the benefit of using this for a long day of travel or being in the stroller, but not necessary in everyday use.

The cooling pad is pretty great! It keeps my baby comfy and cool in the car seat and stroller. It’s breathable, foldable, and the penguin design is super cute and is not super bulky so it seems safe. Perfect for making those hot days a bit more bearable!

We have been experiencing a heat wave, and I wish I have found this cooling pad sooner! It's an insert that can go in the stroller, swing, high chair (or any other piece of baby equipment except car seats). It's thick and feels gel-filled, so you can chill it in the fridge if you need it to be extra cool. The gel is sealed inside and both sides of the pad are fabric, so it won't be too cold for your little one, yet it will provide gentle cooling for a while - enough for a quick stroll, lunch or dinner on the patio or some time in the swing.The insert is designed to work with the safety harnesses and appears to be a "universal fit".It does really make a difference in the heat! (I kinda wish they made something like that for adults :D)

I'm frustrated when no instructions are included with an item. It makes it very difficult to give as a gift. I don't like having to give a link to the product page. I am glad that this can be used in more than just a car seat. Like another reviewer, I hesitate to add something to a car seat. They say to not use a blanket or jacket when it's cold. This is thick as well as heavy. It does come in a zippered case to store it.
