These are great dough proofing containers and this kit comes with tons of them! They take up minimal space, are stackable, and have great non-stick properties. Unfortunately I believe some people are misinformed about how you should proof dough. While the lids on these containers do not create an air tight seal they do exactly what they're supposed to and work great! When proofing dough you want to use a container that will keep moisture in so the dough doesn't dry out but you also want to allow air to escape as the fermentation process will cause the air in your container to expand. If you use an air tight container the lid may pop off and that will definitely dry out your dough. These container function exactly how professional dough boxes do while retaining the non-stick properties of polypropylene. These are a totally great alternative for the home pizza maker if you are low on space and love making personal sized pizzas! The downside however is that they're too small really for 12 inch pizzas. As you can see in my image the top of my dough ball flattened out against the lid of the container, had I proofed my dough for 20 minutes more it most likely would have popped the lid off and been at risk of drying out. the images for this item state that these containers can hold 230g of dough, and they indeed can hold that much because in my image I used a 265g dough ball. 230g of dough however is not enough for a 12 inch pizza of almost any style. How much dough you can actually fit in here is going to come down to your hydration and fermentation desired. I really don't know why these individual proofing containers are almost always too small for a standard 275g dough ball which is generally what's needed for a 12 inch pizza.Aside from being on the smaller side these proofing containers are great! They retain moisture while allowing proper proofing, they're non-stick, and they save space while stacking perfectly. I would highly recommend them if you typically make less than 6 doughs (a full tray) and the size they hold works for you.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever bought. I would have returned them, but I needed them to prep pizza dough for a party so now I'm stuck with these. The lids just "sit" on top and as the dough rises, it pushes the lid up and dries out. Don't buy.

Would have preferred the lids locking on. For freezer. Other than that great
