Does exactly what the seller claimed it would do. Pretty happy with it so far.

This works great for popping Master-style pad locks -- I manage our HOA's dog waste bags, which have combo locks on them that sometimes fail. I got this so I wouldn't have to get a cheapie that I'd use once and toss -- it definitely seems like a keeper. It's got a good heft, which is good and bad. I feel like it will never break, but it's also pretty heavy to lug around, so maybe not for everyone.I would recommend it, hopefully I'll never be in the market for another bolt cutter.

I have used this to cut through a variety of locks, cables and wires. Pretty much like a knife through butter. It has probably cut a dozen things and no nicks or damage noted and still performing nicely!

I like the first pair I received so I ordered a second pair, but Amazon mistakenly sent me the more costly (Used Like New from Amazon Warehouse). This HK Porter cost half as much, weighs less, and is shorter than the Klein 30" bolt cutter, but the HK Porter Power Link outperformed the Klein when I tested both of them on the same Master Lock hardened shank. I was curious to test this HK Porter Power Link 24-inch cutter vs 30-inch Klein cutter so I grabbed a Master Lock (keys are missing) and cut the 1/4-inch hardened shank with the HK Porter, and then the Klein. Even though it is a little shorter, the HK Porter took less effort because of the extra compound leverage ("Power Link"). I inspected both jaws and the HK Porter jaws were not marred at all, while the Klein cutter jaws now have a little dent in them. I cut another piece off of the shank with the HK Porter to see if the jaws would take damage on a second cut, but the jaws are still undamaged.Note: do not forget to adjust the set screw with an allen wrench to prevent the cutters from over-travelling.So, for half the price this HK Porter Power Link 24" cutter delivers sturdier jaws in a less bulky and lighter weight tool that require less user effort than the 30-inch Klein cutter (a historically quality brand). I expect any bolt cutter of this size and cost to easily best a 1/4-inch hardened shank. The Power Link really does increase the leverage and the jaws held up. I am sending back the Klein 30" bolt cutter (Amazon mistakenly sent) for a refund and re-ordering a second pair of HK Porters I was supposed to get (one for each vehicle).

It did what I needed it for (cutting off a lock that had a key broken off in it). It seems good quality (well built) and worked well. The teeth/cutting radius is smaller than what I thought it would be
