I have read that H7 LED bulbs are generally only advertised for fog lamp use cases because they are not certified for headlight use. That didn't stop me from trying it on a Subaru, which seemed to work fine. These are constructed differently than most with a focused forward projector beam. They are constructed of metal (aluminum?) and are quite heavy, with a fairly intricate looking reflector and lens. I like that they are rated at 60w, which is pretty close to the stock H7 bulb 55 watts. No instructions are provided, but they have the standard H7 base with a cut out tab.My application is a 2014 Outback which which required a complicated operation requiring removal of the wheel well housing to access the headlights. Once installed I noticed that on this car the beam lens appears to be designed to focus the light, which in combination of the lens on the bulb resulted in reduced peripheral coverage. I don't consider this the fault of the bulb, the pattern that is projected is the same bright LED you expect so on a different car it may work fine. I will likely swap these out for a standard halogen or H7 LED design. So when considering this I recommend you check both that your main beams don't have the "cap" to block direct light, and also that it doesn't have a focusing beam type of lens.

I was very hesitant to try these because installation is a real challenge. I had to remove the "hat" that goes over the OEM halogen bulb, so I decided to do it carefully in case I had to go back. I finally got these installed and used the small screw in the base to adjust the beam. These are far brighter than the halogen bulbs, but once warmed up I do get some minor flickering. That can be solved by installing a CANBUS decoder, but unlike some other vendors, this vendor does not provide them free of charge. I really don't want to spend $20 and the effort to install them, and these won't be used often since they are high beams, so I'm just going to live with it for as long as they last. Even though they are bright, I can't really recommend them for a 2012 Kia Soul.
